New Teaspoon Advice Please

I have been lurking on this thread for a while, but I didn’t feel I had anything to contribute in such learned company. After all, my collection has nothing more impressive that a set of spoons my parents were given as a wedding present in the early ‘60s.
However, I think I may have done advice on this.
Prior to stirring, I suggest you prepare a ‘pre-warming cup’. This is a cup containing water close to boiling point. Obviously you don’t put the spoon into the water, as this would risk the thermal shock you are trying to avoid. Instead, balance the spoon carefully on the rim of the cup, above the water. This ‘steam heating’ method is a practice of my own devising, which I had hoped will serve me well if I ever gain the confidence to enter the world of competitive stirring.
Interesting method ... I always ensure that any spoon I use is warmed prior to usage by it being clamped firmly between our lady-servants thighs ... nothing better than the spoon bowl against a milky smooth thigh However, I think I may have done advice on this.

Sorry, I need a moment ... brb
A little embarrassing perhaps, but I need a new Emergency Teaspoon.
One could blame many people for this, but I think the end result is that it is my fault. In my haste to baby-proof the house I had of course ensured all the top drawer spoons were secure in their correct holding cabinet. But, a 6 week old baby, a sleep-deprived father in the middle of the night, and the Emergency Teaspoon got smashed open and is of course, now unsuitable for further use.
Recommendations please? I've been thinking about the Clapham's No. 134 but the price seems a bit steep?

If anyone wants a laugh have a read of this:

A load of people making up all kinds of nonsense about cigars. You'll read such phrases as "I bought a box of LaGauche Majors, whilst on a visit to Marakesh". They're currently enjoying pride of place in my thermidor".

Good morning Brethren of the spoon.
Whilst out foraging for my breakfast this morning in the hedgerows i found the magazine ' spooning for men ' stuffed into a hedge like some cheap 80s pr0n magazine. In the magazine was a fascinating article about the Venus de Milo.
Originally Alexandros of Antioch had sculpted Miss Venus holding a cup in one hand and a Krupp(bc) teaspoon in the other. Many searches for the Krupp(bc) have taken place but to no avail, but some say de Grut has it in his personal collection.

Welllllll. Just got back from a week in Lanzarote at Cucharafest 2018. What a shambles.
Forks, knives, people mixing teaspoons and dessert spoons, sand everywhere.
I did pick up a very special 1974 Mojo Rojo mixing spoon though, about the only highlight of the week!!
That's the thing about Cucharafest though, it's always been a total shambles, but there are gems to be found and that's all that counts.Forks, knives, people mixing teaspoons and dessert spoons, sand everywhere.

It was one of De Gruyt's favourites too of course.

I think the issue is that this is the first time I’ve been with the family, normally my wife stays at home and take the opportunity to wax the drawer runners but I insisted she come along. It’s not the same when you’re looking at it with sober eyes. No more spoon girls, no more ‘vodka jelly and spoon races’. Maybe that’s it.
As for an official rsponse, so be it, I stand by my words. I have great respect for the Cucharaseguidores of the Canarias, but let’s be honest, they’re small fry compared to the GB Spooners Guild.

I completely messed up on this, being on the wrong island of Gran Canaria instead: school boy error some may say but I managed to acquire an immaculate (Nazi gold) Flloydenhoffer recovered from a set of 13 (would you believe) from a bunker hidden in a secluded cove accessed via an underwater cave.
Excited was not the word. I was in panic at whether or not I’d get it through customs and into the U.K. undetected and I managed it via a secret compartment in my hand luggage !
Pics to follow when it’s been prepared, valued and insured accordingly (of course)
