New Teaspoon Advice Please
Discussion
Just wondering if any beards may be able to provide any insight into a prospective Steiff purchase...
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Stieff-Teaspoon-Set-of-...
I understand this is a postwar design and so will never be as ultimately collectible as for example the Maryland Rose, but how would you rate overall reliability and any common faults to look out for? I know that the Steiff was engaged in the transition to pewterware around this time, how did the silverware hold up? Don't want to find out I've invested in the teamaking equivalent of a noughties Mercedes after the fact!

Don't go near it! Post Steiff teddybears and pre Steiff pewterware was the deadly three week period where they were turning out spoons using leftover teddybear technology and tooling. There was limited success with Paddington being the main customer but the reviews were atrocious particularly when the spoons are wetted.https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Stieff-Teaspoon-Set-of-...

It's Monday.
Any news from Mr Blib? At all.
Nothing as yet; you could cut the tension with a spoon here at Wolfrace towers (not a Krupp spoon obviously).I was on the edge of my seat, I’ve now transferred to tenterhooks.Any news from Mr Blib? At all.
What part of....
"You'll have to wait until Monday, Wednesday, whatever."
do you two find difficult to understand?
Jeez, it's like dealing with a shoal of guppies on here sometimes.

Their highlight. They’d look good on a TR7.Blib said:

BIG announcement on Monday!!!!!!
Or Tuesday, possibly Wednesday. Get off my back, goddammit!!!!
Well Wednesday is here and nothing, I think we’ve been sold a pup lads. I think the whole sorry charade has been little more than a crude attempt at market manipulation; prior to Blib’s announcement, Krupp shares were trading at 7 pence on the Albanian stock exchange with the incentive(?) of a free 242(b) if you bought more than 50. Post announcement they had rocketed up to 8 pence with incentive withdrawn. This sort of practice is straight out the Elon Musk playbook, we’ll see where things stand at close of trade.Or Tuesday, possibly Wednesday. Get off my back, goddammit!!!!
