Just spoken to my AD they’ve got a set of these with box and papers. Just wondering if I should pull the trigger.
You’ll ruin the box.

Picked these up at a boot sale this morning.

The owner had come across tough times, had lost everything, was sleeping in the back of his van and these were his prized possessions.

He told me he was selling them to pay for enough petrol to visit his mother in Inverness, who was suffering from the Dropsy.

He didn't have a clue as to their true value. So, I paid a 20th of what they're worth. What a steal!

I'll sleep well tonight.

I record the deafening silence in here regarding the upcoming ThyssenKrupp sale to british Liberty Group.
Well, it better rain pounds than 500-pounders, that´s progress.
As said buyer has Indian roots, we might even see some new spoonery rolled (forged) out,
customized for Darjeeling, Assam and Nilgiri ?

Yesterday's beautifully sunny and calm weather prompted me to take my personal airship for a spin.

It was a gift from a very dear and deeply missed friend, Erich Honecker.

You can just about see me waving.

The flange shape doesn't look right and while the box does at first glance look convincing, I believe there were originally three hinges, not two.

Did you buy these from Blib?
No, I’m holding out for my grail pieces...
Just spoken to my AD they’ve got a set of these with box and papers. Just wondering if I should pull the trigger.
You'll need a history of buying fish knives before they'll sell those pieces to you.

The blue team bought an Archibald Knox antique earlier for £99 and sold for £130 , which is nice .

The entertaining bit was the punch up that broke out when the red team's Krupp Zuffenhausen spoon was under the hammer ,

which seems a harsh ending for it , 2 powerfully built goatie sporting males in the auction room were arguing over whether it

was a 997.1 or a 991.2 edition .

One was wearing a PH cycling jersey .........scratchchin

There are parts of that what is true , other bits of it be pure fiction from the warped mind of Peri .......blah

No room for fiction on this thread. We only deal in cold, hard facts.
