Since I first saw a Kershaw 'speedsafe' assisted opening mechanism, I always fancied getting one to play with.
The stainless steel Kershaw Zing came up on Massdrop, so I decided it was time to get one.
Fun little mechanism.

Dunno about speedsafe, but I have a Böker Magnum knife that has what appears to be identical 'assisted' operation. The stainless steel Kershaw Zing came up on Massdrop, so I decided it was time to get one.

I feel that belt clip ruins the looks of many knives, plus makes them bulkier.
Don't want to strap it onto my belt (hardly going hunting etc), pocket knife is destined for the pocket...
Suppose some can be removed?

Quite cool, indeed. Is that legal in the UK?
Almost certainly not. Restriction of Offensive Weapons Act 1959 S1 said:

I'm looking for a new knife, probably around £15-£20 for a decent every day knife. What would everyone recommend?
I notice you can get small Bokers within this price range, recommended?

I have absolutely no need for a folding knife at the moment. In fact, I wouldn't even want one around the house incase my toddler finds it. however, I want that knife for some bizarre reason! So close to buying.http://www.heinnie.com/lansky-world-legal-knife-18...
How does the knife feel? Well made? Useful?

UK street legal?
If by that you mean, 'can I walk around the streets with this' then no.It is legal to own though inside the boundaries of your own property however. Note that your car is not classed as private property. Its classed as a public place.
Outside of the home, my daily carry is a basic, Spartan Swiss Army Knife. Small blade and non locking. Even then I'd never dream of walking into a pub, club, sporting event nor anywhere that sells alcohol with it. I don't even carry my Leatherman in this country as technically, it's illegal due to the locking blade.
I have a lot of knifes that I have collected over the years, as I spend a lot of time outdoors which has been my hobby since I was a boy and I like testing out the designs and the steels. O1, D2, CPM-3V and my Busse knives with their proprietary INFI brand steel. I like to see what works for me and what I do. At home though they live in my gun safe, and when in the car for travelling to a specific site they live in a key coded lock box in the boot.

I'm personally not a fan of that knife for several reasons. I'm undoubtedly in the minority however. If it makes you smile though, good luck with it.
Out of interest, what don't you like about it?From the reviews, some have complained about the general bulk/weight and the lower grade steel blade getting blunt quickly with use. Anything else?
