hehe

The best place in the South East to witness this is Havering-atte-Bower near Romford, it really has to be seen to be believed. smile

I think anywhere with a high proliferation of chav or ex-council houses is a good place to see the tackiest decorations every year!

I expect I'm in the minority on here, but I like Christmas decorations. I also like Christmas though...

I did enjoy living in the US around Christmas time, everybody went so over the top with the decorations, it was brilliant.

I'm with you. I use my children as an excuse to light up the house but I enjoy it. Our modest efforts have encouraged others in our street too, so we're not alone.

I'd enjoy America for that reason. Fewer miserable Brits there.

I'm not overly keen on outside Christmas decorations, but the village of Haughton near Stafford looks spectacular this time of year.

I've just bought an 8m (26ft) inflatable snowman. I live on a prim and proper estate with immaculate lawns and tasteful outdoor decorations/lights. They are already used to my small inflatable (head/hand waving) Santa that I locate on a first floor roof. I'm not sure what the neighbours will make of a floodlit snowman that's about the height of the house on the front lawn wink

I blame the kids for encouraging me biggrin
