It's 29°c in my study and I've just turned on my air-conditioning unit.....it'll be at least 90 minutes until the room gets down to a more comfortable 23°c.

90 minutes?

Do you have the first world problem of a giant study or do you have the third world problem of a tiny air conditioner? hehe

I have the first world problem of a loft conversion study, with slate tiles on the roof. The heat soak through the roof means upstairs is 5°c hotter than downstairs. The air-conditioner is extracting the room heat but it's a constant battle with that hot round thing in the sky.

Just finished relaying all the Indian Limestone slabs around the pool. All the paving had to come up and the margelles separated from the slabs (not easy as the original cement mix was very strong), had to be done as over the last 10 years the ground has settled and the corner margelles had "popped" and the paving was all over the place. It's taken 4 weeks to do as work could only get done early moring or late evenong due to the heat.

I forgot to get my raspberries out of the fridge earlier, and I am too impatient to wait any longer. So I cannot properly savour them through the cream.

Since this BBQ-weather heatwave started my electronic bathroom scales seem to be over-reading, so the only explanation is that they don't have some kind of digital temperature correction.

The outside temperature guage in the Porsche seems to be under reading.

If I have roof down my bald patch burns and I don't want to wear a baseball cap as I'd look a bit 'special'.

One of the pool cars has a stainless steel gear knob that's uncomfortably cold most mornings.

As if that wasn't enough, yesterday the car had been left in the sun. Couldn't touch it. Couldn't change gear without burning your hand. What are you supposed to do? Go everywhere in first? Nightmare.
