Just arrived at a restaurant and when I sat down the woman on the table behind me moved her handbag off the back of her chair and passed it to her mate.
Should I say
“It’s perfectly safe love, I can spot a fake at 20 yards “
No handbag stool?! Should I say

My 997 is turning into a money pit
Mine too. Spent 3.7k on it this year & done about 2.5k miles in it.Trouble is, it’s mighty purdy on the eye and I’ve no idea what I’d replace it with.
And besides, my Forester XT fills the tip run box.

Staying at a rather lovely hotel just outside Cheltenham and have arrived a little early to check in to my suite. They've pointed me towards the bar for some complimentary drinks while I wait but there's only Stella or Becks.
The hookers sound a little low class if I'm honest.Mother in law is staying chez Funkhouser for a few days. We get on great and she's great around the house, but.....
She'll stack the dishwasher after dinner, which of course is very helpful of her. Unfortunately she's putting the larger plates into the narrower rack and the smaller plates into the rack where the prongs are further apart. Now, it may just be me, but page one of the dishwasher stacking handbook clearly states the larger plates go in the larger rack. This means I have to redo the bottom drawer of the dishwasher just as I am turning the lights off etc.
I mean, where's the logic??? Who would look at those prongs and put the large dinner plates in the narrower ones??? Its really starting to test my nerve.
Here's a photo to illustrate:
Madness.

I can confirm, without flicking through the handbook, that big plates do indeed go on the big rack. You can thank my time at the school of whites goods; dishwasher module, lectured by my father, through ages 10-18. She'll stack the dishwasher after dinner, which of course is very helpful of her. Yes but the gaps are different therefore less efficient cleaning?
My other half used to rinse all the debris of the plates and cutlery etc, down the sink before she put them in the dishwasher.I felt it rather defeated the idea of a dishwasher so got rid of it when we put a new kitchen in
