My first ever ski trip to Glenshee, had a great time, ah to be 19 again! Lovely run up there as I remember plenty of snow too..

My father's flying out of Luton tomorrow afternoon. These projected winds could cause delays.

A section of my fence disappeared in the storm 2 weeks ago and not had time to replace the panel, should I be worried about the rest disappearing in the next few days or will we miss the worst of it? We're in sunny Glasgow. Stay safe people.

There's a good chance you'll lose the rest of it this week. Friday would be my bet

ETA. There's a good chance you may not be able to find your fence panels in amongst your roof tiles and downed trees. As is being modeled at the moment, the LP on Friday is a bomb waiting to go off and if tonight's models verify, there will be a lot of damage across the country.

Tonight/tomorrow will be windy up north too, so it might be down for Xmas!

Low pressure was 970mb at 6am and is expected to reach around 930mb by midnight. A drop of 40mb in 18 hours. A weather bomb is 24mb in 24 hours.

Lowest ever recorded pressure is 925.6mb in 1884.

What does that mean though?

I am guessing a Weather BOMB isn't a good thing

Mrs Get's car (and dog mobile). But it's really rather good. Especially off road. Having hated the look of it, I now rather like it.

Love the moody photo. It's a shame though that such a young car already needs some pretty major emergency welding!

Technically a little beyond me, but the process of the pressure rapidly deepening creates stronger winds. Sting jets are also more likely: http://www.livescience.com/29279-storm-sting-jets-...
