This week is looking a bit dodgy - Atlantic dominated with a few low pressure visits, but nothing like before. Next week, the Azores high is lining up to come and say hello.

Could well be time to put the thread to bed, but never say never.

XC Weather showing 0c later this week!! Does this now mean the snow is coming? Or am I delirious with perpetual Scottish autumn?
I've picked up a few rumours - will check in the morning smile

Do I smell snow?
Snow potential - but a real knife edge and I'm not convinced it will fall on the side of settling snow.

Puggit - thoughts for Monday?
A cold day by recent standards, plenty of precipitation around, and a low pressure system comes in from the NW during the later stages of the day. Can't rule out snow on the hills in northern area.

I like the 2 threads - one for winter and snow, and one for summer and sun. 2 very different results.

Happy to go to one though, it's not a toy-throwing problem!

Bear in mind the snow/winter 2012/2013 thread went to 410 pages.

Please tell me this is going to be around the Henley/ Reading area? My colleague has a phobia of thunderstorms and has to hide in the sever room so he can't hear it. It is probably the funniest thing I have ever seen.
We are in the target area (so most likely area), yes - but as always it's impossible to pin point whether a storm will hit an area.

Any Idea when all the st weather is going to fk off? I have a new motorbike to buy biggrin
Immediate future looks like some typical spring weather. The Azores high keeps pushing up providing quite a few warm and sunny days, and then a low pressure system and/or frontal system makes itself felt with showers.

We're a long way off the weather from Dec/Jan smile

Woke up to this this morning... not sure how accurate but to top it off I had no hot water or heating either. Brrr
As you're in Henley, it's probably giving you the reading at RAF Benson. It's in a frost hollow and can often be 5 degrees cooler than other areas. We recorded +1.3 here in West Berks smile

So how long will the heatwave last?
Should be a good couple of weeks. However the Atlantic is still very active and NW parts (ie GetCarterland) will certainly not feel the full effects of the high pressure!
