Ha, thanks for the understanding wink I thought it might have been up before so I went back to the day it was released and then 3 pages later but seeing as there were another 25 pages to go I gave up... need an index - or a search engine scratchchin

search engine you say... thats a good idea... don't think the search button at the top of the page is any good anyway.

After the latest Jurassic Park trailer bringing up a lot of discussions about the rubbish CGI (I know its not the final product) i realised that i knew jack st about CGI so had a gander on youtube at various CGI/VFX break downs and it has blown my mind what is possible.

Here's the breakdown for some of the scenes from Stalingrad

Very impressive! But I'm more impressed by the bits you don't notice, ie Lt Dan's legs in Forrest Gump

Fast forward to the 4 minute mark if that link doesn't go straight there and there's a clip of him jumping off the boat before the CGI was added (I think that bit is at 4:!7 but the 'after' shot comes first), apologies about the Russian!
