The problem for me with the Sub is that A)too many people are wearing it, and B)it seems that SOME of those wearing it have taken out loans or HP in order to buy it so at to "pose". I know a few people on £30-40k pa wearing them and i dont feel that someone on such a basic annual earnings amount should be wearing a £5k watch. There are however guys who have been wearing it since the 70s, who bought it for the right reasons and respect to them.
Has to be a (misguided) pisstake, no?Conflating 'basic annual earnings amount' - eh? - with the right to wear a watch? Nah.

You have to be joking. You own a prestige car and have no idea how to remove the residue from a tax disc holder!!!
You should get your valeter to do it or you are an idiot.
I can't believe people here are taking this seriously and offering advice.

The Aston Martin forum really is awful. Worse than Ferrari. The Ferrari owners know some of the cars can be a bit naff, but they're fun and like them anyway. The Aston forum think they bought a get-out-of-naff-free card, and thus whatever they do they can't possibly be excruciatingly vain and pleased with themselves.A contributor said:

A good number of them genuinely seem to feel that simply buying the car lifted them onto a different plane. Like getting knighted, or winning MasterChef.

I sometimes read these threads and I wonder: has there ever been a nice Aston Martin owner?A good number of them genuinely seem to feel that simply buying the car lifted them onto a different plane. Like getting knighted, or winning MasterChef.
And then I think, hold on a minute, that's a crass and undeserved generalisation that lumps together a whole set of people that only happen to share one trivial characteristic.
So. Are there any nice Aston Martin owners alive today?

None. tts, every last one of them. And then I think, hold on a minute, that's a crass and undeserved generalisation that lumps together a whole set of people that only happen to share one trivial characteristic.

I know two Aston owners, both V8 Vantages, both in gunmetal grey. The first owner is a great guy and he really helped me out at the start of my career. The second is an "entrepreneur" and the most self absorbed tt I've ever come across in my life, so I need to know a third owner to be able to form a sweeping judgement about the 1000's of Aston owners out there.
