Tell us something really trivial about your life (Catch 22)
Discussion
Afternoon Trival people..
Still feeling like st today, although a trip to the walk-in centre did at least provide me with a diagnosis - middle ear infection in both ears
The docs have just advised me to take travel sickness pills and ride it out till it clears up.
On the upside I am at least getting the car back tonight, and it's apparently all fixed so that should be good

Lay with your ear on a hot water bottle. Still feeling like st today, although a trip to the walk-in centre did at least provide me with a diagnosis - middle ear infection in both ears

Fortunately my ears don't really hurt.. it's manifesting more as dizziness and nausea. Hopefully the travel pills will work their magic and I'll be at least able to function normally! And hopefully be able to sleep as well.. the last couple of nights have been a bit spare on the sleep front so I'm shattered. And not having eaten beyond a slice of toast yesterday isn't helping. Feeling very, very weak today Bliss.

Sounds like vertigo to me. Horrible.I had abcesses in my ears regularly as a child - my eardrums burst every time - and every so often as an adult. My eardrums are permanently perforated now. The downside is tinnitus and vertigo and not being able to get my ears wet without inviting trouble. The upside is air travel never gives me earache. If I pinch my nose I can blow air through my ears.
I had a myringoplasty in the eighties to build a new eardrum. It's not pretty, apparently. The last quack to look in my ears said, "I don't know how you can hear anything."

Sake.
car insurance, mortgage, energy bill and me taking some cash out earlier in the day for my Dad have all conspired happen on the same day this month, which has put me in overdraft.
Can anyone think of a way to get 500 quid within the next 12 hours?
right, bank has extended the overdraft. I have shopped around for insurance quotes and have found a decent quote of £360 so I have told Adrian Flux to stick their quote of 756.car insurance, mortgage, energy bill and me taking some cash out earlier in the day for my Dad have all conspired happen on the same day this month, which has put me in overdraft.

The energy company that we changed to cocked up the dual fuel policy and the previous energy provider has been taking payments for electric and gas as well as the new one taking payments for both too. the first one wouldn't let the second one provide the electric so we've been paying both for both, but only receiving gas from the new and electric from the old. we have told the new one to keep the "credit" as we will be able to afford to heat the house next winter with an extra £350 kicking around in the system. We'll then get a refund from the first energy company for the bit they weren't providing which should free things up a bit.
And I was wondering why I always seem to be skint.

It's fine. The showers are still running cold despite my nagging. Go and have forty five minutes in there and all your urges will dissipate.Gassing Station | The Lounge | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
