Who ever did that is not a tiler! the off set joint is bad enough but there is no reason to have that slither of a cut at the bottom...

Thats a real mess. my bathroom was tiled by a plumber, which was a mistake but not as bad as that. Mine was done by a mate otherwise I would have sued him for the cost of having it done properly.

I'm not a tiler, and even I know that should never happen. You specifically plan the layout to avoid slithers like that. It looks like someones first tiling job!

Went to grab an egg to help out, after the mrs had thrown one on the floor (part of the process of baking a cake). Their brains really do work in a different way.

I'd take top left and bottom right if I was taking out 2 eggs. I like to keep the weight as balanced as possible.

If I want two eggs from the box I would choose the biggest and smallest eggs to get the average the portion.

Same unless one has some poo on it then I might save it for a time when I am less likely to get it in the food. Reduces the chance the box will be dropped when it is next picked up. Also the edges are more likely to get knocked so the middle ones are in a safer position. Which annoyed me slightly when buying some from the market where they were selling a dozen in a 5x3 box with the middle 3 holes empty.
