It's just bad app icon design from the others - Google automatically puts a white background around a smaller icon. Interestingly they're different on my Pixel 2 XL - what phone do you have and what version of Android is it on?

Dirty Unicorns Oreo (8.1 iirc) on my olde worlde Nexus 5.

I have the choice of the different shape icons, but they all look equally guff.

My usual go-to icon pack is white, so obviously that didn't work well either.

I'll have to find a black icon pack and change them all.

PS - this is all because Apex Launcher got a "massive update" recently and made a bit of a cock up with it, so I've reverted back to the stock launcher.

One of my friend's parents bought a terraced house in Stoke on Trent for £30k while he was at college. Sold it 3 years later for £40k.
I guess that's just scaled up if you are a Russian Oligarch ( guess from the name Saskia)
