They just had beautiful hedgerow removed for this wall.

Been watching the builder, no plumb line just doing it by eye

Was so preoccupied with the hood, and then the tiling, I’ve only just noticed that there are no 45 degree angles in the worktop either. Just does a right angle right in front of the hob...

Total winner.

There's two parts to this photo.

The first to make your teeth itch is that it's on a bus (got to commute to the city so let me off), the second one is aimed at whoever signed off the position of the automatic gearbox buttons!!

To be fair, that could be a lot worse. They seem to be fairly straight and level across the top, and relatively evenly spaced. How would you hang those better? Assuming you would even hang something like that on the wall in the first place...

I'd run a plane across the bottom of the left hand one and stain it darker.

Wouldn't you rotate the 2nd from left so the pattern was the same way round as the other 3 ?

Bingo! It's quite subtle - although I probably would've flipped the right one so each pair of horses are facing each other.

They probably were reclaimed - they had lots of rusty artefacts on the other walls as well.
