No such thing as parallel lines anyway, so most of these posts are nonsense.
got me there! Can you explain?parallel
1. (of lines, planes, or surfaces) side by side and having the same distance continuously between them.
The example I use with my students is I hang two bobs on two clamp stands. They both appear to be hanging parallel but if you were to extend their lines out beyond our atmosphere they'd be about 17 metres apart, albeit 0.2 metres apart on the surface.
So, relax. There's no such things as parallel lines.

eople worrying about tiles not lining up exactly. They'll never actually be parallel. They might look it, but they're not.

Hang on... it's possible to have parallel lines. The fact that plumb lines are aparallel (is that a word?) because of the effect of gravity is a red herring.

How about a parallelogram then?
(tangent) Lemmy, at his most poetic wrote about a parallelogram. Unluckily, SpeedNotMatters wasn't there to fix the errors in his metaphor.Gassing Station | The Lounge | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
