I went to see an apartment in a spectacular building in a great location. My wife and I walked in and saw a fridge like this and burst out laughing.

We did not buy that place which in hindsight was a mistake because the value went up considerably more than where we did buy.

I can only think, as its a small bedsit / open plan kitchen - the kitchen area was too small to house a fridge & freezer... or because a stupid double american style fridge freezer is a 'must have' item that will sell the apartment.. but there is no way it'll fit into that alcove and the back needs concealing (although if the ice maker is working it will also have needed mains water from under the floor too.

I'd think unless they altered the pitch of the glass roof - it looks to be in keeping with the original above it - or changed the width of the corridor there's not a lot they could do about that. I'd also think the wall thickness prevents the archway being further to the left.

If they raised the height of the right hand wall it would centralise the peak of the roof over the centre of the door arch
