Rigby and Peller.
Don't buy her the underwear, take her into a Rigby and Peller, leave her in the care of the staff, to choose what she wants, then just pay her bill for her...
...when you first see her in it it'll be a surprise for you - bonus!
...the store will make sure it fits properly so she'll be comfortable in it - bonus!
...she'll have chosen something that she likes, so she'll wear it more often - bonus!
Many years ago I spent a small fortune on a bra and pants for my Mrs, from an independent "high end" provincial Surrey lingerie emporium. She didn't like the style, thought it "made her look like a tart". It was technically the right size, but she was never comfortable in it, so didn't want to wear it. She also went ballistic when she found out how much it had cost. All in all, that purchase was a disaster, and caused the mother of all rows at home, in fact it achieved just about the polar opposite of what I'd intended it to.
The Rigby and Peller stuff on the other hand? Brilliant. She chose the styles, tried them on, they fit, they're comfortable (her opinion - they're too small for me ), and they are just the right amount of 'expensive' to make her feel special, without causing her to suspect that you're feeling guilty of something. She wears it all the time, and quite frankly, she looks fabulous in it. I'll never buy underwear to give as a gift again, I'd just surprise her with a trip to the store and a blank cheque...

Men, even when trying their best, tend to gravitate towards underwear which looks slutty (and not in a good way).
Also, sizes vary between brands so it's hard to get the correct size - too large and she'll act as if you called her an elephant, too small and she'll feel like one - lose/lose.
Bloomers FTW.

My wife has worked for La Perla, Myla and an independent stockist of many brands including Rigby and Peller.
Personally I think Myla are the prettiest and sexy in an "English" way. La Perla is for forty-something gym bunnies with money who are having an affair with fitness coach and Rigby and Peller is by appointment to the queen, not sexy.

Have a quick look at her underwear and gauge sizes from these! However I'm told a lot of women do not have the correct bra size for them anyway, and even models in high-end catalogue pictures are wearing the wrong size bras!
I think I'm also right in thinking that La Perla is a no-go if your OH is a D cup or over.

I though it was a no-go as it was cheap and tacky, not because they lacked larger sizes?5potTurbo said:
