Huge jump up in priceHowever I'm sure that most people with half a brain build their own.
Hot rocks, wood-fired, birch twigs, beer, biltong... My idea of Heaven

Now I know that water weighs a fair bit, but even with your lardy arse in the tub, surely the roof should be able to take it?
Standard building regs are a load bearing of 150kg per square m. A cubic metre of water weighs a tonne, add me and a couple of birds make that 2 tonne per metre sq. Can't be arsed to pay a surveyor just to find out I can't do it and RSJs need fitting. If I can find a friendly surveyor to do it for a drink then it's on. Just not made the effort. Now I know that water weighs a fair bit, but even with your lardy arse in the tub, surely the roof should be able to take it?
PH surveyors - pm me
A Dashcam.
Everytime I see something silly or dangerous happening in front of me I wish I had one, but I just can't be bothered with the research of which one is best and the fact that I'd have to swap it from vehicle to vehicle.
It's guaranteed if I didn't a meteor would land in front of me.
I do want one though.

Watches. I have my heart set on a watch and want it more than my left arm. The trouble is that each week my heart is set on a different watch so I wouldn't be satisfied unless I bought many watches and now we have gone from an MX5 budget to a nice house in the north of England budget. Not a chance.
So, I wear a g-shock outside of work and a seiko to work.
On the flip side of the thread, I always wanted a Scott mountain bike ever since renting one in France in the early 90's. Bought one at a ridiculous price in 2010. (More than enough to satisfy one watch purchase. Oh the irony). The Scott Genius (it's like the name taunts me) is hanging in my garage like a big ornament only been brought done to inflate the tyres. The trip odo says it has done around 150 miles total.

I could probably own any of these beasts but the potential wallet raping scares me somewhat.
just in case you are interested my B7 RS4 cost £250-300 per year to maintain (ex fuel, tax and insurance) and that is with an annual service which was over-doing it given my low mileage.I could probably own any of these beasts but the potential wallet raping scares me somewhat.
I sold after 7 years for 50% depreciation

As for the thread title i'd like a wife, I can afford one but I've reached the conclusion that there's not a woman on the planet brave/stupid enough to take me on.
