Are you two in the right thread? That is just a tacky cheap ring that looks like it has been made by Chemical chaos to impress the ladies that will still not have sex with him. It is an awful thing
Glad I'm not the only one thinking that!!
+2. Utterly naff and probably a very effective woman repeller.
That gear ring belongs in The Wing'd Horse of ChavTat thread.

Anyway, always quite fancied a Mokume Gane wedding ring. I think they look lovely and I appreciate the craftsmanship involved in creating one.

Lets not argue about the wobbly RAM pack or the case that you couldn't really do much with the unexpanded one or even the ruddy useles 'keyboard' but somehow I always thought it was a really beautiful piece of design. With its raised lettering and bold red and its slightly raised lip at the back.

Riva still looks modern I'd say, in a way that this won't in a year or few. Mark of a great design - Barcelona chair yada yada

At work we had a Mies Van der Rohe Barcelona sofa, two chairs and footstool in white leather - they might have been reproductions but they were around for *donkeys* years so could have been genuine. They've apparently recently been thrown in the skip, to widespread annoyance. Philistines.

I do really like our 12 seater table (used as a 10 seater), in Corian and teak. My lousy picture taking doesn't really show it's design features, sorry.

Also think 'Edison Bulbs' are rather lovely too:

Have a look through Rick Dickinson's albums on Flickr - he was a product designer for Sinclair Research back in the day - loads of great images of his work on the ZX80, ZX81, Spectrum, QL computer designs plus the manuals and artwork.

Cast aluminium Vulcan bomber. Getting divorced has some advantages, one of which is that you can have proper ornaments around the place!

Quite beautiful.

It seems a shame with shotguns (I shoot) that you're never really around them long enough to enjoy the craftsmanship. You can't ogle them on the peg (might miss a bird), then they're in a sleeve and ultimately in the safe.

Could always buy a deac. pair and mount them above the fireplace?

Apart from looking like a knob, I don't think I'd buy a pair of hand tooled Holland's, have them deactivated to furnish my mantle. smile
