Elvis didn't die. He lived for years after his 'official death', working in Las Vegas as an Elvis impersonator.

Paul McCartney died in the 60's.

On a serious note, all news in the easily obtainable media is essentially conspiracy. Take this mornings BBC breakfast for example. Use of the phrase "the deficit is getting smaller" to suggest that the economic situation is somehow good. Lets completely ignore the fact that the total sum of debt owed is approx 1.5 trillion. The fact that most Muslims condemn recent attacks under the name of Islam is conveniently left out. Whilst this is only conspiracy to sell more newspapers/get more viewers, the facts that the public should be given first hand are being skewed or left out. Granted you can dig up the full facts yourself...

No, it's to suggest that the deficit is getting smaller.

Do you not find it ironic that you (and others) aren't familiar with the research against your position, but are here calling it nonsense? Why don't you complete step 1 before moving on to step 2?
To be fair I've not called anything nonsense and had no position at the start of this thread.
That's true. Apologies. I'd recommend watching the Experts Speak Out video on the site for a brief (about 1 hour) overview of the evidence and work A&E-affiliated professionals have done so far and moving from there.

The Russians didn't send Laika the dog to space but instead found her on the moon. She didn't die during the mission but because of their experiments.

Disclaimer - I just made this up. Or did I?

Shame that isn't true - The Beatles are dying in the wrong order.

Wasn't there a whole crowd of people who said that the Lee Rigby murder was some kind of set up for the two chaps with blood all over their hands. I'm sure I saw it in the Facebook fail thread that people were adamant the blood was added to the videos later as it was too red or something etc etc.

Heard something about the pictures being enhanced by the papers/tv to make the blood look worse than it was.

I've just remembered one. I've heard from many Russians that the Russian government controls the weather.
One of Putin's advisors was funding one of the opposition parties. He then informed the public he had done it.

Keep them confused. (Although most Russians are constantly pissed so there's no need to confuse them!)

Having read this thread, I have come to the following conclusion:

How conspiracy theorists think they appear:

How conspiracy theorists actually appear:

Sharkhunters.com is convinced and there is a book about it so it must be true
There's a book about it called Grey Wolf. Quite an interesting (if very speculative) read.

I've just read a book about the Titanic conspiracy theory which made me laugh in places. The long and short was that the Titanic's sister ship (Olympic) was damaged in a collision with a Navy ship. The inquest decided it was a 50/50 accident so no blame & no claim. The Olympic was taken back to Belfast & in the biggest ringing / cut & shut job ever, the "plates" were swapped between the Olympic and the Titanic. The idea was that the Titanic (really the Olympic) was to set off on its maiden voyage then crash into an iceberg. Another ship was then supposed to come & rescue everyone, the hooky ship sinks & Harland & Wolff claim on the insurance. This was all done without any of the thousands of workers in Belfast either noticing or ever mentioning it.

That's the thing about conspiracy theories. They always rely on hundreds if not thousands of workers all keeping silent and feeling no remorse for their actions.

Coming back to David Icke, anyone have any idea what caused a level headed sportsman and later commentator to turn into a raving loony? Did he have some sort of breakdown or "episode"? It genuinely puzzles me as he delivers all this giant lizards claptrap with genuine sincerity, or at least seems to.
