AI controlled cars on the motorway with those who can afford it in AI controlled passenger drones flying above in several tiers to miss the traffic. After another boring drive home on the M25, I'm looking forward to it!
E Hang is already here:

I think there's a taxi service using something similar about to be implemented in Dubai.
Very good. What happens when one motor fails?

Should put these bollards on all traffic lights, the amount of people that dont stop at red lights any more is a joke.

Just a complete tangent - is there a reason the time/date/label alternates seemingly random black vs white letters.

I did that once. Just been to an interview which had gone pretty well. Waited for the bollard to go down, no traffic lights though. Pulled forward and punched a hole in my sump, oil pissed all over the private car park’s immaculate brickwork. Amazingly I got the job though!

The overlay software tries to ensure there is sufficient contrast for each letter by looking at the area it will be obscuring. Dark = white text, light = black text. It doesn't do a bad job, but isn't perfect in this case.

Thank you for the explanation.

I wonder if the driver thought "looks like I was ready for an oil change anyway"

Job wasn't car park maintenance was it?

Given some of the YouTube videos I've seen where they run engines without oil to see how long it takes them to blow up, I'd say a lot longer than I would've thought a few years ago!

That bollard seemed easily low enough to clear the sump! What do I know.

You can see the van pause and then roll backwards. It also dumps its lunch almost exactly
on top of the evil rising bollard. Technically criminal damage? it should be IMO

Clearly well used oil in a diesel.

Fortunately not! I remember looking on google maps some time later and you could definitely make out a black line from when we pushed the car back into a parking space!

Assuming you mean the van driver potentially damaging the post - definitely!

They should put those bollards on every set of traffic lights IMO. That's soon stop the idiots who seem to think it's fine to go through them after they've turned red. hehe
