Got nearly two weeks between first and seconds dates (genuine reasons - unavoidable).
Talk about pressure to keep up the right level of conversation / interest!
To be honest, just bin it. There's a rich seam of fanny to be mined, and for the rights and wrongs you can be selfish and picky if you want. Careful though, seasoned pros bin women for scarily spurious reasons, that might become a habit. Talk about pressure to keep up the right level of conversation / interest!
Yes, keep looking about and seeing whoever, whenever, but no reason why not keep in touch with the fortnightly gap Doris. People seem to think keeping up their interest is the domain only of the bloke, it works both ways..

Welcome to online dating.
Yes, well thankfully its not for me. I'll just carry on with the real life version.
Anyway I'll pass on a few suggestions to her and any offers of dates that emerge from this thread.
Thanks all - carry on!
Spotted a girl on OKCupid that I was sure I recognised. Few messages, figured out that I did know her. We work for the same company (although she's been based in another office for the last few years). We also have a few mutual friends.
Conversation moved from OKC to Lync whilst at work, we both started asking one of our mutual friends for info on the other. Met up tuesday night and got on rather well ... quite possibly the best first date I've had in the last 5 years. Most of wednesday was spent continuing chatting via Lync, more of the same today.
Anybody been on any Match.com nights?
I was dating a girl I met on POF for a month but it didn't work out. Bit dissapointed and now I can't really be that bothered but this Match.com night popped up in an email and i thought it might be worth a go if not for a fun way to kill a few hours chatting to people.

Never tried one of there nights but always found Match to have some pretty decent girls one there (i.e. ones who can afford the subscription...). Give it a shot, nothing lose and plenty to gain.

I've rarely had any results from on-line dating, but this last week it appears to have had a result, but primarily down a mate and work.

Very definitely not friendzoned.

Hold up one second, this makes it sound commonplace for a company to monitor Lync?
Lync and most internal messenger services are likely monitored in most companies in a similar way to email. As in everything is kept, even if you delete it from your inbox ..... its still there on the server. At a prior employer, the IM logs were used to confirm details in several disciplinary cases.

Never ps off the IT support bods, they know EVERYTHING. Way too time consuming to monitor everyone, chances are unless they are looking for excuses and you're not fulfilling your duties it's fine. Just don't take this piss like those judges recently - porn hub crosses the line.
Right back on topic!

I'm thankfully quite friendly with our IT bods ....
1st Tinder 'match' yesterday.
Few texts throughout the day.
My hope was restored in modern day dating apps!
Last night. after positive work during the day, a message pops up saying ' I've had a bad week, and need a break from dating'!
Negative thoughts on internet dating resumes!
BTW, what's with all the skiing pictures?

Snow bunnies are hot? if i saw a girl with lots of skiing pictures on her internet dating profile, for the rights and wrongs, it would make me think the following things:
- she'll be expensive
- she's likely to be insufferably and irritatingly middle-class
- you'll be in the shadow of her rich ex
- if not any of the above she'll be a ski bum no job type / extreme sports person, and i can't level with that

"i demand to speak to the manager, my olives are labelled herb and these are clearly chilli"
"my sweet little oliver simply wouldn't have punched that other boy, he swears that he didn't and i believe him"
"my audi Q7 sportline quattro was only parked on those silly yellow lines for 5 minutes, i demand you tear up that ticket you awful jobsworth"
"we simply adooooore val d'isere but the bordeaux just doesn't compare to the hey day of oh-nine."
"oh it's not really a farm, it's just a smallholding really"
she'll be off air-kissing in coffee shops and waxing your money on mulberry fking bayswaters with her additional cardholder status before you've fking even nailed her.
