I measure my "success" on that site by those eight women.
You make some very good points in your post and I have some sympathy with your situation. However, and whilst sorry to focus on the crude bit, 8 shags in 3 years is a pretty poor show isn't it? I'm not trying to come across all Capt Flasheart, but I suspect there might be an elephant in the room that needs addressing if that's the most success you had at your peak.

If you say so. I'm not sure that fewer than three partners a year for a single bloke in his 20s is much to be proud of, but perhaps you see it differently.Paddy_N_Murphy said:
Bitter much guys ?
I can't report the same as you.....
Me neither.I can't report the same as you.....
Haven’t returned to tinder et al this time around but previously found them very different to what people report on here. I think some of it comes down to location and demographic, but a lot surely has to owe to personality and disposition. Does seem bitter at times in here.

i think you just need to open your eyes. Maybe you do in fact live in the countryside of course.
I think you need to go back and use yours to see the context Neither of us are reporting bad things. I live in Dubai, chock full of single professionals of all nationalities. Being single here is no hardship. However my experience of online dating in the UK was also nowhere near the doom/gloom/MGOTW crap oft posted here.

One of my best internet/app dating stories occurred in Dubai when I was send a golden star by a blondie who, in her second photo on happn, was arm around her best mate who I had hooked up with via tinder 6 weeks before in London...the world is a very small place. I only told the blonde the next morning when leaving but oh to be a fly on the wall for that phone call. Another problem with online dating is the women who use it to advertise their instagram page to attract followers, their bio reads along the lines of...'not on here much message me on instagram', and ones that use it to get a free meal or evening out so always good for the first date or 3 to suss them out by just meeting for a coffee or a walk.

What I was highlighting was that the process has changed during the time I have given it a go, Back in 2012 the people on the sites were far more genuine, you still had to do the legwork but it was an easier process, and I had my fair share of success.
I am still the same person now as I was then, my approach is the same, having taken another look however the users are now from a different demographic, the genuine types have moved off, and its become more concentrated with the less genuine ones as net dating became more mainstream.
That was what I was trying to convey to the people dipping their toes into the water only now and not having much luck, the market has changed.
Of course the Greek Gods on here can pull anything, anytime, which does make me wonder why they are actually trying net dating anyway if they are beating them off with a stty stick in the real world.

Very interesting replies on the “friends with benefits” scenario.
Have any of you PH casanovas been in a relationship with someone who you referred to as your “lover”?
I haven’t heard the term used in anger since the 1980s, it sounds so big hairy bush groovy now
I have never appointed a title to any FWB. They simply stay as a friend. What you do behind closed doors does not need an additional title.Have any of you PH casanovas been in a relationship with someone who you referred to as your “lover”?

Of course they need a title.
Much like anyone who's enjoyed sex is a slut.
As anyone who isn't a serial flouncer on Online Dating and can converse with females is to be known as a Cassanova,
Of course titles and names are required - it helps those that can't understand, put labels on the subjects and smugness can then ensue.
I’d only give them a title in writing on here so the hard of thinking can understand...Much like anyone who's enjoyed sex is a slut.

Interesting reading.
Split from the ex last year. Dabbled a bit with online dating with varying success and some downright awful dates
Still see the ex as we have a son together and have the occasional jump into bed sessions, so I guess we have moved into fwb territory.
What is interesting to see is the sheer amount of crap etc she receives from online dating sites/apps. Women get absolutely flooded with it, the messages are just pure cringe.
Any man into this online stuff has got to stand out, there’s a lot of wheat and chaff for women to sort through, and that’s if they can actually be bothered to sift through it. I’ve seen her just do mass delete before out of just being annoyed with all the crap and cringe.
Good luck out there !
