There are three certainties in life! Death, Taxes and nurses.

I’ve always had the truth to that particular direct question.
and how many times have you had "fk off"?
Zero
so you've never had a negative reaction, never been ghosted, always had a straight truthful answer to the question... i think bullst. Equally can i assume you've never had a long term relationship out of it either, because you're still dating? Asking "are you fat?" has serial Tinderer technique written all over it.
You've never met Olly have you?

Don't think it was in this thread, but does anyone remember that PHer who was trying to get his 40yo friend laid?
Whatever happened to him?

False advertising sucks. I’m sure plenty of men are guilty of it, I have a good idea what my batting average is and never aim too much over it.
A friend says similar, she is over 6 feet tall, Think Xena Warrior princess and thats pretty much her. She has told me about a number of dates where its all looked good online, tall, handsome, good sense of humour, sane, solvent, own teeth etc

Its surprising how many men lie to her and seem to think that their dazzling personality and high flying career will make up for being a munchkin.

so he's a hotter than hot blue steel male model that asks women outright if they are fat as line 3rd line of dialogue, and has an adoring following in this thread who keep a tally of his conquests as kind of a tony robbins style personal goals motivation and/or man crush?

this deserves it's own cringe thread.. i mean thread.

think i've solved the puzzle and the original question anyway. Women lap it up when hot guys are mean to them ('negging' to do the Game terminology I guess, which I am sure is a book well thumbed in the Olly household) - but it doesn't really work for most men. Nor would most men choose to be mean as a strategy anyway. I think most women tend to realise that they don't actually want the mean guy after a while anyway. It's like some kind of fantasy isn't it.

You're funny. Or dropped as a child, I can't quite decide.

I have asked the question to a select few people whose bodyshape I couldn't determine through their profile/insta/fb. Not hard to grasp.
fat people are easy to grasp.

Without being also accused of being cringy, negging is a s move and not one I have ever heard or seen from Olly. Perhaps you are't quite as perceptive as you think.

(FYI I know Olly IRL)

Had a quick look on tinder over the weekend just to see what’s out there. Christmas and new year rush will be starting.
Far too many women on there with heavily filtered photos. Filtered photos should be banned, false advertising.
Also far too many profiles with the stupid bunny and puppy ears on there, it’s not attractive to me at all. It’s an instant swipe left for me. Before you know it, you’ll be drunk and a selfie will be taken and she will put bunny ears on you !! No no no.
My ex’s friend has her Facebook profile covered in pictures of her and boyfriend on nights out, both of them with bunny ears and puppy faces.
Ridiculous, I feel sorry for him, if he’s doing it knowingly he ought to really cut his penis off and turn it in along with his man card and start cultivating a vagina.
I think Christmas will be fwb, although I’m becoming more and more drawn to an ex of mine from 20 odd years ago.
Not sure what I’ll do with that yet.

Also the wrong dress size tbh.

At the same time as she started messaging me, I was heading out to my local (by myself) for a couple of quiet drinks. Stood at the bar minding my own business (probably about 20 other people there - the regular crowd), and in walks a group of women, mostly 20 something and mostly quite attractive. They ended up at the bar next to me, and were a bit tipsy and enjoying themselves (fairly loudly). I quickly got dragged into the conversation, turns out they all work together - all doctors and nurses. They were all being rather forward, the two who were single made their intentions pretty clear. Seemed to be gagging for it - making suggestions of threesomes and deep throat (more in a banter sort of way, I think). Somehow, I managed to stay cool summon enough of my dry humour to cut them down and play along disinterestedly. I ended up getting talked into having a faux wedding ceremony and kissing one of them, with the whole pub as an audience (they mostly view me as the perpetually single, and probably gay bloke, I expect). We built a bit of rapport, but ended up parting ways without exchanging numbers.

I would have left it at that, but 30 seconds of google-fu yesterday revealed their social media accounts. Took a few of my my female friends to convince me that it wouldn't be too creepy to message the girl, which I did. Got one reasonable response out of her (was expecting a 'how the fk have you found me?' reply), but then she went quiet. Later, I noticed she is also on POF - I'd seen her profile previously, but didn't make the connection in person, even though her photo's are pretty honest. She does seem quite genuine and we've got a fair bit in common, but I get the impression it was just a drunken game she and her mates were playing and she wasn't expecting any further contact. Still, gave me a minor confidence boost, albeit only temporary.
I think on another day with a touch of extra confidence you could have got a number (or at least asked straight out for it). Sounds like you had a bit of a laugh and handled the situation well without it being awkward (especially in front of a pub full of locals). The follow up message was worth a shot so fair play to you for trying.

What did you decide about the whole online dating thing btw? I remember you mentioned about knocking it on the head for a bit.

This will blow your fking mind, some people actually know each other in the real world.

All those women not swiping on you? That's because they're busy telling Olly their vitals hehe
