Nothing to worry about I hope!

Just checking in to this thread, ive been doing nights since November '14 now (with a 4 month blissful break in between!) as a contractor in the Motorsport industry. Surprised I haven't found this before as I often have a browse through PH when I'm on my breaks at work or nights like tonight when im off work but just cannot sleep (and very hungry!)

Currently trying to ignore thoughts of getting dressed and going out for a hideous McDonald's that I probably wouldn't enjoy.

The joys of a being a nightshift worker!

Sounds an interesting job, are you allowed to spare us any more details?

I'm currently sat in front of the PC trying to get Visual Studio to install.

Watching the Super Bowl and catching up on some work / preparing for a seriously busy week. Tempted to work through the night and catch up on some TV from the UK that I've missed lately.

I finished my shift on Sunday morning so now have four days off but I'm currently watching the Super Bowl as I still seem to be on night shift mode smile

Evening all,
Seven hours to go until I've finished my last nightshift, then I'm off for ten days.
Today is the 16th anniversary of starting work with my present employer.
That means I've spent approximately 1.5 years working nights.
And if it hadn't been for Pistonheads and the bloody internet in general I'd have either gone completely insane or got a PhD by now.

wavey Happy Anniversary, what do you do?

I've just crawled into bed after another evening in the garage, floor's finally completely painted, once the section I did tonight dries i'll be able to get everything in it's home & get the place laid out as a proper workshop at last. Then finally get back to my projects cloud9

Got called out on standby tonight, just waiting for a digging gang to turn up so we can find out where our electricity mains fault is. Thankfully my data package renewed on my phone this month hehe

Evening wavey

Last nightshift for me too, then off for 12 days for birthday business.

I came into our other office, as I want to be nearer home on the morning, forgetting we have a big change on tonight so my quiet evening is being disturbed by people doing real work.

I was sat trying to look busy but have given up on that and am watching the Tour of Qatar on the YouTube. In French.

Also I have no change for chocolate, so if someone could lend a us a quid that'd be great.

Ahh right, my Uncle works for Scottish Power in a similar role. Seen him out at silly times due to faults.
