Well I've had my MRI neck scan. Didn't take as long as I thought, very efficient people. My god, they are noisy buggers. Will take a week before I can go to Snappie Snaps to pick the piccies up.
Just to make GOG jealous, it was this sexy, top of the line, beasty.

Nice scanners those, used one many times.
I did warn you they were noisy lol.
If your neck looks like this I will be gobsmacked, this is the most normal pristine looking neck you will ever see.

I know about the rust and the prop doughnut s and the clutch (hence looking at automatics) the fuel lines and aircon problems I was not aware of

Have a look at Ford Ka, dead simple and cheap.
Neighbours Micra is dying... veeeery slowly... but the ing thing still rattles into life a 6:30 every fking morning
She wants to keep the Ignis... I wash my hands of the little yellow bd
Mean while I'll keep the Audi till MOT time in March and replace it then... with something V6 and Italian (with squiffy electrics)
But for now, time to go Autotrader cold turkey

Rust? he's talking to a Land Rover owner about rust
I thought you had an aluminium body on those?(I know you have a tendency to rusty undercarriage)
Alloy body panels: all good, recently resprayed in Stornoway Grey.
Alloy seat box: corroded where it meets the chassis seatbelt anchors.
Steel Bulkhead: Good but will need attention in a year or two.
Steel Tub Cappings: Rotten. Galvanised replacements awaiting fitment.
Steel Chassis: Front half solid. Rear half totally fked.
Current status:
One end of the rear axle crossmember:
fking thing.

I may sound biased and predicatble but have you considered a Skoda Fabia?
While not the most exciting or interesting car, it is good, honest transport which would suit your (sisters) requirements. If you wish to learn more about them, by all means look at my thread of for anything more specific, don't hesitate to ask me on here.
As my username suggests, I am a bit of a connossieur of car park copulation, so as your offering advice, what's the ride in the back like? While not the most exciting or interesting car, it is good, honest transport which would suit your (sisters) requirements. Following on from my Scania V8 fixation the other day, I found this video on YouTube:
Scania V8 - Loud Pipes Save Lives
Best listened to with the speakers turned up, the green/white T-cab at 0.33 sounds epic

If someone is willing to give up their time to educate others they should be applauded.
I have only put 20,000 miles on the VRS so am looking forward to all the wisdom nuggets that will help running it further, from a genuine expert.
God bless you, TR, God bless you.
So this evening, we seem to have established that my housemate is a massive lightweight. I had my suspicions when he said the other day that he likes drinking Budweiser, tbh.
Tonight, after just 4 pints of Carling at the SU bar and half a bottle of Leffe back at home (all over about 5 hours), he proceeded to:
- sit on the landing, staring at the ceiling, and contemplate out loud why we had an attic and what its purpose in life was
- wear his bicycle helmet to go up and down the stairs.. when questioned, replied with "safety first.. always safety first"
- taste the sauce stains on his trousers to see what it was from
- finally go to bed (after hundreds of suggestions to do so by me and the other drunk-but-sober adults) fully clothed and immediately go out like a light
I think someone is going to have a bit of a hangover tomorrow.....
(Before anyone asks, I've had 3 Vod Bulls and 3 pints of Cider, so I've not exactly been on the tap water, but I feel absolutely fine)

Good luck FB. Enjoy.
I'm still loving my job. Lady that started just after me has already quit!! I'm about four months advanced on 'training'... Little but scary.
Found out last night my son is coming 'home' just for tonight. Will be the first time I've seen him in around six weeks. But of a trek for him but I'm so excited.
