No one I know is into cars and whilst they probably wouldn't go this far, they wouldn't have any clue what the literage of an engine relates to.

As a youth, I took a course in auto mechanics at school.
We had one young lady searching for an entire class for the radiator cap to fill the coolant system on her late 60s/early 70s VW Beetle.

That said, I suspect p1stonhead has the right of it.

Not sure it's really a 'fail', but it is amusing.

I've reminded the wife that she's a few pair of boots and shoes short since we had a flooding incident...

I am not sure this counts as a facebook fail in the strictest sense of the word, but it stopped me in my tracks...

My other half is a management account, she asked me why I had a 2 litre car, they cost more to fill up.

I still ask her about it now

Have a look back through old posts on this thread and also the "Council" thread and you'll find the weird people that are into them seem to be quite high in number eek

That's why I stopped being a frequent 'expert', answering questions on science some years ago. First it was the growth of lazy 'tards wanting their homework questions done for them and then these sort of inane questions. I've finally realised just how many idiots there are with computers.

Had a 'friend' of a 'friend' on Facebook today complaining bitterly that he was going to lose (or probably loose) an hour of sleep this weekend due to the clocks changing.

Pretty good double fail I thought.
