If your town were an independant nation what
Discussion
Would be on its flag?
With the recent Scottish vote it got me thinking that if towns became independant countries what would best represent them on their flag?
I live in Bedford so it'd have to include:
John Bunyan (whoever he was)
The River Great Ouse (runs through the town)
The M1
And maybe a picture of the brickworks or disused airship hangars.
How about yours?

This is my towns coat of arms/flag. Two camp blokes, a sailing boat and some crowns.

If my town was Dudley, Netherton, Willenhall or one of several other Black Country towns it would almost certainly be using this new beauty
Celebrating centuries (they say) of chainmaking, glassmaking and other dark satanic processes
I quite like it
But Brum has its own coat of arms so it will have Arm and Hammer details near a Union Flag and motto Forward
Probably have 'field rouge' 'cos the commies own us now

In line with the previous tagline thread, the flag for Basingstoke would just be pale grey, or perhaps beige, maybe even completely transparent.
Seefive would have it differently, it'd have a picture of The Cayman Islands photoshopped on a roundabout. (They all look the same otherwise)

I grew up in Runcorn so it would probably be a coral betting shop logo inset on a stylised UB40 motif flag.
I live in Melbourne now and our flag would be an overpriced latte design
Both Runcorn and halewood are both lovely places. Crack and Netto, what's not to like?I live in Melbourne now and our flag would be an overpriced latte design
18p a can. Bonza!

The new bridge will allow most folk to breeze on through without even glimpsing the vast array of kebab and betting shops.
