PH Euro Lottery syndicate one-off: let's do this!
Discussion
Can't do a full list until later on when I can export a csv of the list from Paypal at home.
Everyone who has received a 'received, thanks' email, or similar, is included. The 3 refunds have already been sent.
Will do lists, tickets, screenshots etc once I'm done with work. Y11 parents' evening tonight, so not sure what time it will be.

Indeedly!
Right, here comes the money shot: http://www.filedropper.com/pheurotickets-spud989
Within that link you should contain a plethora of screen grabs of tickets for tonight. They have black blocks over the last bit of the number just in case - of course, that doesn't affect us as a group. Just didn't want to post them openly online. Think of it as like the reg of your car - some are bothered, some aren't.
The eagle-eyed mathematicians amongst us will notice there are 21 images with 7 tickets on each screen (147) yet, what's this?! A 22nd image with 5 tickets on?! Surely shome mishtake Mr Spud989? That totals 152 tickets?
Well, like the Ambassador, I really am spoiling you with these Ferrero Rocher - I threw in 2 extra tickets for free from my own funds. It doesn't change our rules from post 1. Think of it as community spirit.
Enjoy. And good luck to us all. Now, back to the classifieds, I command you all!

... really? I've spent a few hours of my life on this and thrown in £4 extra of my own and you think it's a scam for 2 extra unidentifiable tickets within the existing mass of 150?
For the person who asked if we could do it again if it gets big - maybe. We'll see. Minus the conspiracy theorists!

Bugger that, Chaps...we'll be hiring Goodwood with Lord March serving us tea and biccies
This is a good idea, it's only down the road for me. Means I won't have to leave my money pile alone for too long.benjj said:
I was just having one of my realistic moments when I thought, "ok, perhaps not the jackpot but maybe we'll get one of the big prizes..."
Then I worked it out using the lottery's own average payout calculator.
If we get the second best prize, 5 balls plus one of the two start balls or whatever, we each get...... wait for it..... £1953 each.
Guess we'd better win the fking jackpot.
I've worked out the prizes down the board too. Makes pretty depressing reading. I'm not really a lottery man but thought there would be a far more even spread:
5+2 = jackpot
5+1 - £1953 each
5+0 - £33 each
4+2 - £22 each
4+1 - £1 each
4+0 - £0.48 each
3+2 - £0.29 each
3+1 - £0.06 each
2+2 - £0.09 each
3+0 - £0.05 each
1+2 - £0.04 each
2+1 - £0.03 each
2+0 - £0.01 each
Alright, Robert Killjoy-Silk! Don't know about you, but I can think of plenty of things to spend £1,953 on over the next week. Remap and an exhaust, for a start! Then I worked it out using the lottery's own average payout calculator.

Yey Spud,
Did you say you have emailed everyone that is in? It's just that I have not yet received one and worried I may miss out on my prize money.....would be a shame to have wasted that 40 min I spent specing my 458 Speciale
Big thumbs up for organising this!!
Cheers
Dave
Thought about the best way to do this, whilst preserving anonymity (well, mostly). Using this that I found online:Did you say you have emailed everyone that is in? I stripped the real names from the Paypal CSV file to initials. If you combine that with the email time you sent me (column B), then you should be able to figure out that you're definitely included or not.
Of course, I've blanked out transaction numbers/stuff to do with my account. You'll see the 298 withdrawal to my account at the top - I had £6 already in my lottery account, hence using my £2 and adding the £4 bonus for the group.
Here it is - http://www.filedropper.com/euroinfo
(busybodies will also notice the I column adds to 300.27. You can thank the guy on the other page for his eCheque payment for that!)
Hope this satisfies everyone.
(I was also thinking that, if we do this again, then we should only pay out prizes of £10 and above - five times the entry - and just keep rolling the money until it was gone or until we'd won something worth more than 5x the original investment. Thoughts on this?)

On Twitter earlier the lottery promoted and posted a picture of the email you'd get if you'd won the jackpot.
Said something like 'you've won £150m please call 0845 xxx xxx.
I thought how miserable the lottery people were, should be a 0800 number until they give you the cash!
Sounds like something that our friends in Nigeria would send! Said something like 'you've won £150m please call 0845 xxx xxx.

The rules were always to roll it until a big enough prize was won or until the money was gone (see first post). The only amendment I've proposed is that we go from next Tues to next Fri because of the 25 extra millionaire raffle prizes. Plus, I guess, Tuesday could always roll over - whereas if it doesn't then the jackpot would still be a similar amount to what it is this Tues anyway. No down side to it, as far as I can see.
Logged into the account - we have £64.50. You'll be pleased to know I didn't manage more than 1 number on any line of my private tickets
So we will have 32 tickets for next Friday. Will purchase them shortly.

The first time the topic has gone quiet!
Anyone plotting what to spend their £6.5k on if we hit one of the raffles? It's not enough to change your life significantly, but here's a few options you might consider:
- bills
- 'luxury shedding' and contributing many times over to the frivolous purchases thread
- sizeable chunk towards a weekend/track day special
- nice holiday
Anyone readjusted their aims? Would you be sensible with five figures or just spray it on nonsense?
