Just had a thought over the weekend, is the number of participants ever going to be capped? I know Paul did mention that in the 14m-to-1 chance that we win the big one that we might have to meet up to prove who we are, etc for fund transfer. I think we have around 170 and I've been to PH Sunday Services that have been limited to 100 or 150 and you need a pretty big car park just for that, meeting at the Dog and Duck at 1pm is going to be interesting! Nice problem to have come Wednesday morning though.

I’m sure there are other possibilities rather than meeting up in person on a Wednesday morning during a pandemic but got to win the damn thing first and that’s proving to be tough! How would you cap it? First 150 to send money or something? Bit of a headache for Spud.

It's a bit late in the evening for maths, but we get 150-180 players on average. It costs about 400 quid a draw and we tend to reload a few times before it's won. Then it's usually about 8/10 weeks before we play again, ish.

Not sure what a typical return is, but probably around 50 quid.

We've been running quite a few years now. Feel free to guesstimate based on the above.
I have run an office Euromillions syndicate for 12 people for 5yrs. We play when it is £30m or more (lesser draws are too cheap for us! hehe )

Over that time we have a very stable win rate of 12%. Or we chuck away 88% of our stake, in pursuit of the biggie, depending on your perspective.

That's a series of very small wins, no big ones, mostly winning something in two out of three draws. So all in all very similar to this syndicate.

In again Paul, thanks as always.

Haven't thought about the logistics of meeting during lockdown. Cross that bridge when we come to it - nice problem to have, hopefully.

Some of the early draws had capped numbers, but that hasn't been the same for several years now. It became very popular and I didn't want to let people down in terms of being a part. And we never get more than 200 ish even on huge draws, so it's not going to ruin people to 'only' win 750k or so rather than 1m. smile
