I've just had to explain at length to my girlfriend that my moleskin jacket isn't actual made of mole's skin.

This wouldn't have been half as amusing if I didn't recently need to do the same regarding my camel coat.
To be fair to your girlfriend, she wasn't being completely daft regarding a camel coat.

Indeed. The hair rather than the skin, but from camels.

No; why do you ask?

Completely off topic but camel coats etc reminded me. I always loved my Afghan coat in the 70s and decided I wanted one as a nostalgic thing. Can't buy them for love nor money these days.

Used to love the smell of patchouli oil and damp goat

I haven't got a clue what the answer to this is. I know sodium chloride is commonly known as salt, but I can't think what would commonly be known as sodium chloride, in the kitchen.

If the question was "in a chemistry lab, what is commonly known as Sodium Chloride?" then the answer would of course be salt.

So I'm stumped, unless this is a classic from the PHer and you've completely fked up the question.
Maybe general knowledge quizzes aren’t for you then.
The question is wrong though. It should be, "what is the common name for the chemical Sodium Chloride, that you would in most kitchens"?
Not really, I’d consider salt an item. The question is pretty obvious and makes perfect sense.
Salt is the common name, not sodium chloride.

As in "pass the sodium chloride" dear.
Yep. It's entirely possible for questions to be wrong and that was one of them.
I've got a mate who is a classic for this. He'll tell a joke starting "what's the difference between x & y?" And the answer will be "they both blah blah blah." When you say "that's not a difference, that's what they have in common", he just doesn't see what you're on about, and will say "don't you get it" and just repeat the punchline.

Clearly they are following your lead.
There is always one isnt there.

In a thread of amusing stories, there is always one poster who wants to be offensive, pity that its always the same one.
Offensive? Goodness me, you must make snowflakes look positively robust if you found my comment offensive.

I'm not one to wield the SpaG baton for the sake of it, but someone who complains about those around them making errors, whilst making multiple errors themselves, is fair game.

Now run along and cry to your mummy.

Sorry, not you per se, just making a poor joke.

What about a donkey jacket?

As a poster above notes, we've had that one.

On the subject of shoes though, I do think these look rather dapper:

Speaking of receptionists.

I was on a rant the other day at the number of mistakes made my staff. I said very loudly.

'How am I supposed to soar with eagles when I am surrounded by sparows;.

Madam receptionist chirps in.

'And the odd tit'
i like her. You on the other hand... well if the cap fits!

They're not authentic, one of them's made in Canada FF'sS. Mine, definitely from Afghanistan, was embroidered all over and had tiny mirrors stitched in - it stank! hippy

You Pr1ck

You make comments and criticisms out of context and far from the spirit of this thread and the make a comment like cry to your mummy.

You Pr1ck.
I expect he will be back for another go shortly. I hope not because it's messing up the thread.
