Where are they going to park the planes now that most flights have been cancelled?
My wife asked me that while watching the news last night
How did you answer ?

That seems like a very sensible question to me smile
Some are parked at Norwich airport:

And here’s a bunch of them parked up at Heathrow - using less space than if access was needed for maintenance etc

Wife was moaning that her drive in closet was full, and she needed more room for her clothes.
A few days later I suggested we go out to dinner and she said "I've got nothing to wear" banghead

My Wife, being very thoughtful about the current C19 situation, still has to go to work and with the sun shining asks, "is it ok if I drive with the roof down?"

Bloke on the radio who's from Newcastle, when he first met his Mrs she said she liked that band from where he lived.

He was trying to work out who it was, The Animals, Dire Straits, Lindisfarne.

No she said, Geordie Vision!

He had to go and get an album and show her it written down in order to convince her.

Just in case someone doesn't get it -->> Joy Division

Reminds me of my dear departed sister in law.

I handed her a CD and said,

" I think you like the lead singer"

"Never heard of them"

"Michael Hutchence, INXS you like them"

"Yes I do but this says Inksis"

I thought about this, my puritanical streak meant I couldn't.

I had to leave my home to collect some bits from the vets today and wondered the exact same thing ... if it’s 2m safe distance when walking, when moving at 30/40/50/60/70 that’s exponentially increased (potentially)

I haven't had the roof down in case I have to stop at traffic lights and someone leans into the car. That hasn't happened in the other 17 years I've owned it, so it's incredibly unlikely, but it feels safer. Strangely I don't switch the air-con onto recirculate just for that extra level of isolation.

as long as you pass them on the right then you will be 2m away, unless you have a passenger..... anyway it's cyclist and pedestrians that are the issue. I had 2 cyclists brush my elbow yesterday as i was out for my regulation exercise session.

Tonight watching the BBC 6 o’clock news:

Wife: they could have got a better picture behind her instead of that scaffolding.
Me: that’s Elizabeth Tower, you know, Big Ben, it’s getting refurbed.
Wife: well that’s crap, what’s the point in that. Why don’t they stand in front of that church?
Me: what? Westminster Abbey?

One from y 25 year old daughter the other day...

She's down in cornwall with her gran for a few months (managed to escape just before the lockdown.

I got a text messge

'Granny and I were wondering if we should start our car engines every now and then as we are not using them'

I replied saying it sould be fine but once a week for 20 mins or so wouldn't do any harm and keep the battery functional etc.

Replied

'Oh OK then. So do we start then stop then start/stop etc for 20 mins or just start and leaving it running for 20 mins?'

Aw bless the female species angel

True or not, it brought a smile to my face as I had my morning coffee.

Didn't you spit it all over your keyboard? That's something that always definitely happens and is never made up.
