Bit of a result this morning, wife appears to have forgotten I’ve booked most of this week off. She reminded me at just after 8 this morning that I’m normally starting work.
No list of jobs I can’t be arsed doing for me.
Might open my laptop just as she gets home to help keep up the pretence.
I’ve already gone back to bed for a snooze.
Wish me luck!
After MY week off, I was usually glad to get back to work for a rest.

Does yours not remind you of things you know all about, yet omit the most important information she has in any situation?

Well she does something similar ish I guess. I have an early train tomorrow and she just said to me “are you having an early night?” To which I responded that I hadn’t forgotten. I think if she reminded me every day that I have work, at work starting time, then I think I’d have to insist she stop!

Mrs. 404 has a hearing aid. Somewhere.
She has never once used it from day one, preferring to castigate me for speaking too softly and turn the TV volume up to pain level (for me and any other mammalian lifeforms within a half mile radius).
I paid 400 quid for it. And it has somehow vanished.
So she needs a new one. The one she needs/wants will cost me 960 of my hard earned British.
I am 100% confident she will never use it.
I feel a bit guilty being negative about this - after all the poor woman has hearing trouble and I have near bat- level ears.

I think it's a sort of tax for being married.
The NHS will give her hearing aids for free, so the same effect can be obtained and you can scroll over to the frivolous purchase thread and buy something essential instead.

Maybe B&Q was taken, bizarrely it's spelt diy.com.
Symbols aside from "-" and "." are not allowed in domain names.
What does/did B&Q stand for anyway?

Based on the current Scottish Govt transport record that's probably not as stupid a question as it first sounds smile

diL was commenting on how unreasonable her brothers company are over not letting him work from home. What does he do I asked her? "Oh he's a pilot with British Airways"

The SIL’s fella is a pilot, a few weeks ago the MIL pipes up that she wasn’t going round to the SIL’s house as ‘he’ was there as he was working from home. I asked how does he manage that, is the plane remote control? She just looked at me blankly.

You joke, but apparently NASA had a meeting to discuss the risks of cats accidentally causing problems with satellites after someone's cat stood on the keyboard during an online meeting when working from home biggrin
