My late father was Charles.
Far too posh.
When first dating my mother he said his name was Ray.
Much closer to his working class, postman, roots.
Known as Ray for the rest of his life.
This him?

The wife's cousin married the roughest woman you could ever set your eyes on; she was ugly, fat, rough, common and a horrible person, I distinctly remember; at the toast, she had a champagne flute full of blue WKD.

Thats epic !

actually a typical related thing is to have a serious domestic or fight at a wedding: resulting in bride/groom etc being imprisoned for the night.

I read of one recently where the entire wedding ending in a fight due to a person being accused of taking a chicken drumstick either too early, or taking too many.

I have both colours of sauce and half the front garden, its a very small front garden, has been paved. But it has been paved for motorbike parking, not 4x4 parking.

I thought of this thread on the weekend.

I was in traffic behind a VW Amarok with a trailer carrying 2 jet-skis.

I expect he was off home to get into the hottub or to enjoy supermarket lager using a gas barbeque whilst wearing a football team shirt.

Oh dear. I fear I have been revealed. It's often Lidl lager, too. Although my football team of choice is easily the least council amongst all football teams (Fulham), I do accept that to the untrained eye any football shirt is, indeed, council. Love my gas BBQ.

No pick up trucks or jet skis though.

Its perhaps a bit mean to pick on that one... if it helps a 7 year old girl cope with the death of her 4 year old brother then fair enough.

The dads tattoos though... laugh

If Clubcards are council, then I must be.
I have one and my mother uses my spare one - she for what ever reason doesn't trust them so I get her points laugh

Found newly minted BiL of then current England football captain rogering the bridesmaid behind the restaurant - on his wedding day. Never saw him again after he spent 9 months inside.
