Kids and parents having the same teachers
One of my old English teachers is still at the school I went to,nearly 30 years on, so it won't always apply. Also I am now 400 miles away from that school so the chances of my kids having her teach them are slim.
My dad didn't go to my school though. He did grow up in a council house, and he went to Egerton Park, which was proper council. Had he done better in his eleven plus, he could have gone to Audenshaw Grammar, so by flunking his exams he spared me from being council.

Quite a few people at my secondary school were taught by teachers that had taught their parents. There parents were of a normal parent age and a similar sort of age to mine. If the teacher is fairly young when they taught the parents, it's not unlikely they would still be teaching when their earliest pupils have kids of school age. Ganglandboss said:

I suspect she wouldn't make the list these days

That's a bit offside! At my senior school we had a brilliant maths/physics teacher who was a Polish refugee. She had three sisters, all were well qualified.
When my daughter went to school in a totally different part of London, who should be her maths teacher? My old one, lovely lady.
