Yesterday I was more than a bit council.
The nearest shop that was open at 10.30am and sold hash browns and mushrooms (for mrs' and daughter's breakfast)was Iceland.
Later in the day we were shopping in the 99p Store followed by Poundland.
Still feeling full from our Iceland breakfast we decided not to cook a big roast and got a takeaway from McDonalds.... but not before buying Vienetta and The Sun from a convenience store.
I'm gonna put a good shift in at work today to make up for it.
Congratulations, and jubilations. What a day!The nearest shop that was open at 10.30am and sold hash browns and mushrooms (for mrs' and daughter's breakfast)was Iceland.

As for the 99p and poundland, I rarely shop anywhere else these days. If you are selective you can get all your needs for a song. (Poundland now do milk and bread.) First stop on my morning itinerary.
One aberation though, The Sun is not now considered council. Most councillors now read, well look at the pictures, the Guardian.

I appreciate the offer, but I reckon you're better off putting it towards BUPA membership to cover your first heart attack
Living abroad, I had no idea what a "parmo" was, so looked it up. Seems there are enough calories in it - without the chips. I think penance and 1000 hail Mary's are in order personally. But don't pinch the church silver please.OpulentBob said:

Never understood that one! Assumed it was an English thing. Tea is the one that really confuses me. Tea is what you have at 2pm with a scone. It is most certainly NOT a meal!

I wouldn't be able to understand 2 words up there - it'd be like Naked Video meets Brookie...

Apart from the fact I don't like hash browns, that seems like a brilliant council day you had. I'm jealous. The council have far far more fun than the rest of us. The nearest shop that was open at 10.30am and sold hash browns and mushrooms (for mrs' and daughter's breakfast)was Iceland.

I'm going to call my daughter Vienetta - if I have a daughter.
