Has anyone joined a dating site? I would prefer a chinese lady or similar as I tend to think of them as far less 'louty' than some British women can be!

Any pointers?

Just make sure you get a Ting Tong and not a Tong Ting?

In all seriousness, I met my wife 12 years ago on a non-dating orientated internet chat room. The fact that it was via the internet is probably neither here nor there except I was fairly shy in person and never enjoyed pubs or clubs so I was unlikely to meet anyone that way.

The reason for me replying though is the "louty" British woman thing. They're not all louty, in the same way that not all Scots are alcoholic gingers and that all southern Englishmen are not all lagertops sipping tossers who refuse to understand any accent that originates north of the M4.

I think you should maybe change your social circles a bit if the women you meet are all a bit scummy. I'd venture that a high proportion of Asian ladies looking to export themselves to the UK to marry a British guy who can't get a date have aspirations other than wanting to marry a British guy who can't get a date.

Just my 2p.

This is exactly me. And if you don't enjoy that most women think you're very strange.

Given the number of people on here who need to make constant reference to the mythical "real world" where their crappy diesels are better cars, I thought it was obvious that Pistonheads was just a place for men to try to blend in with other men by feigning an interest in cars?

Go to a Chinese restaurant, make eye contact, smile and tip well.

I suspect that will serve you just as well as a thread on Pistonheads thumbup

You can go ahead and remove the 'apparently' and the '?' from that sentence.

I can think of quite a few habits of some Chinese women that you might not be keen on, but maybe it'd be best not to pass such sweeping generalisations...
