Good evening all, how is everyone getting along in lockdown?
I'd imagine we hopefully all have time for a cigar now and then?
I am back at my house in the UK, separated from Mrs Guitar and Reginald (the dog) by 3,600 miles.
Tonight, I am settling in with this Ramon Allones Gigantes:
Guess I am not going to be back on a ship for a while, so no rush!
Do enjoy a nice Ramon, usually the petit corona for my limited palette (and budget!). Going to try a specially selected next time I stock up. I'd imagine we hopefully all have time for a cigar now and then?

I can only smoke outdoors so it's purely nice weather pending since moving back to the UK. On the south coast though so managed to get in 1 the other week on the doorstep. I'm hopeful that we will be getting some more decent weather soon so I can delve in the humidor.
Do love a nice Ramon A though. Lovely smoke.

This weeks cigars -
R&J short Churchill
Quai D’orsey 50
Cohiba Secretos Maduro 5
R&J Mille Fleur
Need to get flying again I need duty free smokes
The R&J Short Churchill and Mille Fleur are my favourite smokes at the moment. I haven't seen the Mille Fleurs for sale in the UK so I also need to travel again.R&J short Churchill

Cohiba Secretos Maduro 5

Given the above, how do the Quai D'Orsey 50 and Cohiba Secretos Maduro 5 compare? I'm a bit of a lightweight (smoker not body weight!) so medium strength is all I can manage.

The Secretos are medium to full and have a flavour from the 5 year aged leaves used for the wrapper. Quite a dark looking cigar I would say the 50s are medium and are my go to smoke when I can find them. Good balance of flavour and time. Not as freely available as most other cigars though

Good evening all. I hope some good smoking continues to be enjoyed in lockdown?
Tonight, it is 'new world' for me.
The wine is 'Black Stump' which is an Australian Shiraz/Durif blend. I am sure some here will have tried it by now, really quite an amazing wine, almost like sipping on a rich pudding after dinner.
The cigar is an Oliva Serie V Torpedo. A 6 x 56 from Nicaragua. I think the Oliva V is a great range, rich, consistent and solid value. Looking forward to this one.

Given the good weather I've been having many a good smoke. Today was a Partagas Maduro #1, a Hoyo Petit Robusto, and as it was a special day, I treated myself to one of my favourite this evening....
Rather like my 'good' wines and whiskies, I'm always saving certain boxes of cigars for special occasions when I should just damn well smoke them and enjoy them.

Hi Paul. It's a cracker, lovely light draw and spicy tastiness. Perhaps not that descriptive! First time I had one was after a Behike 52 and its flavour blew the Behike out the water. It's a Belgravia, a UK special edition from 2018 if I recall correctly. 'Normal' cigar price, not Cohiba like...
On that note, I received an email from CGars saying substantial price hikes on Cubans from 1 May... not checked back yet to see how substantial that rise is! Damn the lack of international travel!
