Morning all and what a gawgus hot day it is.
Unsurprisingly Milo our St Bernard is less enthusiastic...Fortunately it's cool in the house during the day with all the blinds closed and his morning walk now starts at 5:30am while it's still cool, although I've had to cut out his afternoon and evening walks.
Both Milo and Marley had a paddle in the river this morning to cool off.
I'm very hairy so can sympathise

Good morning campers!
I woke up to this view from the bedroom window this morning
Another "Village Day" dawns!
That means I'll have to get out and get all the shopping done early before they close the road at 10:00!
PD, one quick question if you don't mind,I woke up to this view from the bedroom window this morning

She doesn't drink oil and doesn't need a drip tray!.
I just tuck her in and then tell her fairy stories... Like the one where the Russian Prince saves the English car factory!

Good news
Since when was Birmingham "the other side of the country" from MK/Bedfordshire I spend a lot of work time in Bedford and MK; it's not too bad a trip from Brum.
Bishops Stortford (a recent visit) is a complete pita to drive to
It's far enough at 19 (as he was) when Mother is home with younger children, cat, dogs, ducks, chickens, a job... I'm closer to Cambridge. I'll take the A14/M6 tonight. It's easy enough, when I have the time! Out at some launch party tonight (oh the life of a celeb) and on to Manchester tomorrow, guests of Björk tomorrow night, hotel, home Monday night.
