You won't regret if you do pull the trigger on one.
It's an amazing quality bit of kit too, the controller feels so good, and very intuitive to use in your hands too.
I've been using my iPhone 7 for the screen, but then a friend says he uses an iPad mini, and I had one spare, so switching g to that now for the bigger screen real estate!
The iPad Mini really improves the experience. It's an amazing quality bit of kit too, the controller feels so good, and very intuitive to use in your hands too.

I only had the larger iPad, so I bought a refurb Mini just to use as a controller for the Mavic. I guess that counts as a frivolous purchase!

A few of these 'grey' websites selling them now at around that price.
Not sure the DJI warranty covers them though and it's not the 'fly more' pack that I really really want.
I paid £1,250 for the Fly More pack from Scan a couple of months ago and I think it is still the same price now.Not sure the DJI warranty covers them though and it's not the 'fly more' pack that I really really want.
Not much of a discount, but better than nothing!

Yes I've been advised caution with the Grey imports as I believe DJI's warranty requires you to return the drone to the country of supply for any kind of after sales support - correct me if I'm wrong as I'd love one at those prices! Not much of a discount, but better than nothing!

The discount seems great, but it is still too expensive an item, with too much to potentially go wrong, for me to buy from a grey importer.

I decided I wanted a new home cinema set-up a few weeks ago, so pre-ordered this A/V receiver:
https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/av-receivers/st...
As this has Atmos enabled, I thought I'd better upgrade my speakers too, so ordered these:
http://www.nl.onkyo.com/en/products/sks-ht588-1253...
Then I figured out that they wouldn't fit in the current position in our living room, so I needed to rearrange the seating plan and buy three new pieces of furniture to accommodate (luckily I found some nice bits second hand which saved a fortune!).
Whilst waiting for my new A/V receiver to be released, I came to the conclusion that there's no point getting a 4K audio system with my current 1080p TV, so I ordered the 55" version of this:
https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/televisions/XE9...
and this to complement it:
https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/blu-ray-disc-pl...
It has been an expensive month considering I just wanted a new A/V receiver.
I am seriously thinking about an Atmos system. My current Onkyo SR508 is over 6 years old now, no network support, no 4k support and only 4 HDMI ins. https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/av-receivers/st...

It's a great system though so I may have to redeploy it elsewhere rather than get rid of it.
Why have you gone for upward firing speakers rather than ceiling mounted? I always thought ceiling mounted gave a better sound although obviously involves a bit more work to install them.
I would be interested to hear your views once installed.

Getting the ceiling speakers installed would end up costing far more than I can afford right now. And after listening to a demo of these they do a great job coupled with the DN1080.It's a great system though so I may have to redeploy it elsewhere rather than get rid of it.

I'm still waiting for the receiver and speakers to be delivered, but the TV and BR player is in place, and is stunning. Even straight from the box the picture is just amazing. I think I'll make a few adjustments for daytime viewing, but it's not often the TV is on in the daytime.

Don't forget to get Gravity on blu ray, I hear that is excellent with atmos. I'm still waiting for the receiver and speakers to be delivered, but the TV and BR player is in place, and is stunning. It really is, I've got 7 now and running out of wall space in the lounge. Worth waiting for the very regular ~30% discount codes
