On the contrary my dear boy, I think you'll find anything bigger firmly lands you in council thread territory. 43" is perfectly adequate for catching up on the days events over a corona and a snifter...
Ah this isn’t a class thread though ... this is frivolity and you’ll find the council tv window is between 47 and 65 as that’s the ‘cheap’ and ‘brighthouse’ Range ... above 65 is far from council wink

Reminds me of another FWP that I have. We have a 65” tv in the media room. But my wife and I prefer to leave that to the kids and watch TV in the Morning Room (of an evening, ironically). There we have a 32” tv that lives in a cupboard on an articulated arm. I want to update it to a more modern one. There is room for a 37” TV but they don’t make them any more. 30”, 32”, 40”, 42”. What about that gap in the middle?

Where did you buy these, they are very pleasing on the eye...
They were on massdrop. They probably won't be back for a couple of years, but they've been turning up on r/mechmarket.

Tai Hao do a knock off set, too.

Dasher and Dancer if you want to search.

My parents have a 32" Panasonic from a good 7-8 years ago. It was £800! I own a 48" Samsung. (Not 4K inferior upscaled nonsense) It's quite odd when I visit them and they have the TV on.

Feels like you're watching an iPad! laugh I imagine this year we'll be going to the boxing day sales to get a new one

If we're talking council though. Anything above 50" and anything by a brand you buy in Asda!

Personally speaking (and this has confused and caused ridicule from many of my friends and associates over the years) I believe that TVs in bedrooms are council. Apparently it's also bad Feng Shui if you are into that sort of thing.

Music, fine. But TV. nono

TV in the bedroom is a dividing one ... we have a 47” tv in the master and I can see why some think council - helps with the drowning out of the tinnitus I find

And a second TV (only 43 inch but 4K) for the lounge along with a leather reclining armchair with massage and heating functionality.

This allows me to make use of the zone 2 functionality on my av unit so the wife can watch some trash on Sky while I play Xbox or PS4

Don't you get a crooked neck?

I still run a 42" Panasonic plasma that must be at least 10 years old. But I like the warmth of plasma and it is superb at upscaling SD content and looks great with pretty much any signal you throw at it. By contrast, the 37" Panasonic LCD Smart TV I have in my home office is terrible with anything less than full HD content.

I remember mounting one of those on the wall many moons ago....60 kilos....that was an immense task!

We got a 55inch oled in the lounge and just bought a 32inch Sony for the bedroom in the new house .

Thankyou very much - thats one of my nieces sorted for Christmas ;-)

I've also just ordered one of the MyKronos ZeTime Hybrid smartwatches - that was also featured on here..

Hmm - Dangerous thread. Think I need to limit myself to one visit a month.

We have a 50 something Panny plasma that the OH bought for the price of a small car 10 years or so ago.

Still an immense bit of kit and better to view than anything we have bought since.

I bought another t-shirt today...........
How many have you got now ?? just asking for a friend..... who might have hundreds.
This makes 36 in total, 32 now "In circulation" and 4 with labels un-worn!!! No where near as many as your mate but still more than enough!!
I wasn't aware that having an excessive amount of T-shirts was a thing, I thought it was just being practical, however I may also have a problem. Had a bit of a clothes clearout this weekend, and I have an inordinate amount of T-shirts, but I wear a new one daily, sometimes 2 a day if I've been doing DIY/gardening etc.

I have about 20+ plain white Costco Kirkland ones, great fabric, fits well and washes well. And cheap enough to be disposable if necessary. I also have a lot of Oakley and Animal T-shirts, some of which are getting on 10 years old, but still in shape and colour, but starting to fray in some places.
I've also got quite a few Shotdeadinthehead Ts - again decent fabric, but the print is fading noticeably on some of them.

I also have two "vintage" football shirts - one was my uncles coffin dressing, the other is a West Germany top from Euro 88 championship that was my Dads. And somewhere in the loft is a box with my old gig T-shirts from back in the 90's. I fear these may be moth eaten by now, and I'm also 4 stone heavier than I was in my late teens..

Despite this, I did buy another 6 pack of plain white ones this weekend at Costco...

Yes, they're great for slobbing around in, and using as bed shirts. yes

My ex went through a phase of sending everything off to professional cleaners, including these. I was livid when I found out as it would have been cheaper to literally throw the Costco ones away and buy new ones each time.

I backed it on KickStarter, and had an email over the weekend that it is in Hong Kong at the shippers, so should be with me within 3 weeks.

What were you told about lead times when you ordered?
