Oh dear, my 32" Panasonic that isn't even a smart tv must be due it's bus pass frown
My parents have a 32" Panasonic from a good 7-8 years ago. It was £800! I own a 48" Samsung. (Not 4K inferior upscaled nonsense) It's quite odd when I visit them and they have the TV on.

Feels like you're watching an iPad! laugh I imagine this year we'll be going to the boxing day sales to get a new one

If we're talking council though. Anything above 50" and anything by a brand you buy in Asda!

Personally speaking (and this has confused and caused ridicule from many of my friends and associates over the years) I believe that TVs in bedrooms are council. Apparently it's also bad Feng Shui if you are into that sort of thing.

Music, fine. But TV. nono
Hhhhmmmm interesting, we've always had a tv in the bedroom(old 32" when we bought the new 40" for the front room!), means we can watch different stuff from each other without any issues, also my wife liked to have it on in the morning for some background noise as I leave at 5.30 and lazy pants doesn't get up till 7 but we also have a Sony dream machine clock/radio/alarm/docking station thing (5th year present from work) in the bedroom so we have just about every thing covered, especially as Mrs Bobbers keeps her Samsung tablet beside the bed too!!!! yes

Thankyou very much - thats one of my nieces sorted for Christmas ;-)

I've also just ordered one of the MyKronos ZeTime Hybrid smartwatches - that was also featured on here..

Hmm - Dangerous thread. Think I need to limit myself to one visit a month.

We need more info than that, what's the story behind it ?!
If it's just an old bit of fence post then I've got a couple of old bricks which I'll let you have, for say 50 quid ?

Erm it's oak

From the advert
" An English Oak wood turning blank cut from old fence posts which have stood in the wind and rain on my Exmoor farm for many, many years. Rubbed by my sheep and the sheep of farmers before me and worn by the wind and rain, they have taken on a wonderful patina on the outside and yet the Oak inside is better than new, as old Oak is, having taken on the wonderful colour that only age can bring. When turned, the contrast between the weathered outside and the sanded and polished inside is just wonderful and is enhanced by visible staple holes (all staples removed) which are blackened by the reaction between the iron and the tannin in the Oak telling the story of how the Oak has been used (until now).

The old fence finally gave up a few years ago and was replaced by a new one and the Oak has been stored under cover since then. All staples have been removed and the blanks are guaranteed nail and staple free."

I'm going to make some coasters out of it once I've driven some nails into it

Thanks - have ordered a couple of Saltrock ones - I hadn't heard of them.
They're similar to Fat Face in many ways, founded in Devon/Cornwall, lots of surf type logos etc.

Don't accidentally wash them at a high temperature, they shrink a bit.

I've been looking at woodturning videos for a while now on Youtube, there is something very appealing and almost therapeutic about them. I just need to find the time to get involved, and I already have a lot of the woodworking kit from a previous business.

This is an old fence post that has been filled with resin and then turned into a bowl - the patterns inside old wood are incredible. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pn_vybPMBzg

On the contrary my dear boy, I think you'll find anything bigger firmly lands you in council thread territory. 43" is perfectly adequate for catching up on the days events over a corona and a snifter...
But that chair with integrated drink holder ? Has to be council.

To escape the potential council thread and enter the frivolous one with a bang, might I suggest:

Good call, unfortunately being a 46" chest but only 5'8" tall they rarely fit me, they only go upto XL and i generally need XXL to be comfortable around my chest/shoulders!!!!

They definitely go up to XXL as that is the size I have them in.

Not frivolous, but I know some of you will appreciate this.

£9.99 reduced Akai Radio from The Range and an afternoon with the dremmel. With hindsight and a bit more patience I could have connected the internal speaker as well but this is just the kitchen dot so not really used for much.

I bought this online recently...

I was using it to find the address of a prostitute I'd called.
But it just kept spinning madly and I got lost.
It's my moral compass.
