Choose widely ... the caterham is decent but only took me a couple of hrs to build so value wise I’d say it’s low

I've been considering a pair for a while since trying them in duty free, after reading this thread it made up my mind and I finally caved and bought a set of qc35ii's tonight myself.
Flying on Friday so will be a good chance to test them out
How much are they in duty free? Flying on Friday so will be a good chance to test them out
Also, first review on these from me is on a flight they are incredible. Well worth the outlay.

Retired product but still on eBay et al ... quite large at nearly 2ft long ... took a good few evenings to build and the kit makes other models too.
Also the unimog as mentioned above is great too

Thanks to Dom Hackett for supplying, £15 NATO strap from Amazon, rather like it as a change to the steel bracelet. (I'd also like a nice dark brown leather strap, any suggestions?)

Just bought a Nest. Wife has programmed it so it hasn’t learnt a thing. The only benefit is that it doesn’t click like traditional thermostats and it is in a bedroom.
That isn’t the frivolous purchase though.....
Bought a second one for downstairs which is located in the dining room so we can’t hear the click.
Now we can use Alexa (another frivolous purchase) to change the temperature.

Probably too late, but the Sony MDR1000X are the best out of the trio with the Bose QC35/Sennheiser imo - the Bose noise cancelling is microscopically better, the Sennheisers sound better in a quiet room, but the Sonys sound the best in the noisy world, and the touch-pad on the right earphone to control bluetooth audio is inspired - reviews say it's patchy but I've yet to have a problem.
A work-mate and I bought all 3 between us and now we both own the Sony.
After an age in the Gatwick Divans going back and forth comparing - I went for the Sonys.A work-mate and I bought all 3 between us and now we both own the Sony.
Bose were slightly nicer to wear, sound was slightly brighter I though, but I thought the noise cancelling was actually way better on the Sony - especially as on the Bose it doesn't seem to work if not playing music. The touch pad swung it - great that you can just cup your right ear and it mutes the music and noise cancelling and turns on ambient - amplifying outside sound - so when someone comes to talk to you don't have to remove headphones.

Are you worried about the well documented cracking of the headband ? I discovered a couple of decent proxy buying services for Japan and Korea, which gives you access to some unusual or different that items we don't get over here, so I've been buying a few bits of pointless stuff that nobody in the universe needs.
if that wasn't camo I'd quite like it.Rawwr said:

Thanks, though it doesn't get supplied with lube so that's more additional expense. I didn't mention the lube on this thread though as it's not frivolous. It's definitely required. I'm going to leave him looking like someone has dropped an anvil on a birthday cake.Gassing Station | The Lounge | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
