Im curious about what time they actually get collected.. and its far far too much effort to sit at the window and wait, and fastforwarding through hours of CCTV footage is tedious at best... hehe

Well that's how i'm justifying it HA!

Not sure if this counts as frivolous or Not, I don't really need it, but it will make doing the body on my Unimog easier, especially when I do the second body!!

Very reasonable from Amazon, £19.99 with free delivery!!! smile

I bought one of those, thinking a Dremel overpriced.

I packed it up and put it in the bin half an hour into the first job I tried and went and bought a proper one.

Sorry.

Yep I bought a cheap cordless one from amazon years ago too, it was useless , didn’t even have the power to cut plastics on my model kits, just stalled all the time.

I ended up buying a proper corded Genuine dremel, and it’s been wonderful.

Even though I bought it with th intention of using it on my model kits, it now gets used for all sorts of diy.

It’s even powerful enough to use for polishing my 4 into 1 chrome exhaust manifold on my Caterham.

I suspect you will end up going the same route too!

Here’s the one I got.

I bought a cheapo version of a dremel here in Austria and it has worked very well, only cost 20 euros! Easily powerful enough to cut through metal and will be good for models as well, but not tested it for that yet. I have a TT02D kit to build soon though so will get a good trial with that.
It came in very handy when I got my GPR exhausts for my motorbike as the baffles would not fit properly and needed the welds ground down a bit, it handled that no problem.

This was the one I got:

Picked myself up a basic Nixie Tube kit which was completed in relatively short order. I like to repurpose things so I had an old Mac Mini which motherboard had passed away.

After a bit of serious grinding and a minor rework of the connections I now have a Nixie Clock Mac Mini.

The principle is not remotely frivolous, every man should own one. Whether yours is the right one, I couldn't say!

BSA R10 Mk2 SE. I have no idea why I bought this, frankly, apart from the fact that it is awesome.

Reminds me I’ve got a bsa ultra upstairs with a new silencer, a scope that any Navy seal sniper would be jealous of, a compressed air tank and multi stage foot pump thing.

All because one day a crow took a baby koi worth about £100 from the pond.

The pond has been filled in now.
