Does an FPV racing drone count? Arrived today, goggles the lot.
No idea how to fly it but guess it can accompany the other £1100 drone that sits and gathers dust.
Indeed, need more details. I fancy one of them sometime. No idea how to fly it but guess it can accompany the other £1100 drone that sits and gathers dust.
I got one of these cheap brushless RC planes from Bangood, it arrived with the tail already broken off but easily fixable with glue, I emailed them and they refunded the lot including the faster shipping I had paid for, so roughly 100 euro RC plane for free. Bought some 5 euro glue and should be good as new!
I even asked if they would just send me a replacement fuselage since they sell them for about 8 euro and it wasnt worth returning it to China, but instead they decided it was best to just refund me! Cant complain at that service.
Waiting for good weather to test it out.

Nice. I bought it 2nd and but it's as new. It's an Eachine X220s. Goggles are pretty old but do the job haven't tried them yet.
Had a quick fly in the garden and it's very tricky! I've been spoiled by GPS assisted drones. It doesn't even have auto land! ..

I've 'frivol-ed' again....
Ebay has a lot to answer for. However, following my nostalgia-trip Tamiya Guide book further up the thread, I have also been looking around for the Scalextric cars that I owned when I was 12, 13 years old - and stupidly sold when I left school to raise money for a motorbike.
Anyway I have just bought a mint, new old stock Mk. 1 Ford Escort RS 1600 which is one of the ones I used to have. Not bad at £35 - will arrive tomorrow. Sadly, I am now on a mission to find all the cars that I used to own - including two articulated trucks - and it looks like they're around on Ebay. The trucks are going for over 100 quid each though - looks like it might be an expensive few months coming up, haha! Frivolity rocks!
You know what... Somewhere I've got a box of scalextric cars from my childhood that I'm likely never going to use again. A Renault Laguna and Audi A4 btcc pairing, and a Boss 302 Mustang and Gulf GT40 Ford Racing pair. I don't suppose you'd be interested in them? Ebay has a lot to answer for. A £600 Tumi laptop/messenger bag. My laptop hasn't left the house in about 3 years. But it's leather, and it says Tumi on it on a label barely visible to the naked eye.
May not be counted as frivolous, because it has a compartment solely intended to hold your toothbrush, and a washbag. Did I mention it was leather?

An excellent buy sir. I have ballistic nylon Tumi cases bought 15-18 years ago - still in use, still look new, the design still looks modern and no zip or buckle has broken.May not be counted as frivolous, because it has a compartment solely intended to hold your toothbrush, and a washbag. Odd you should say that, I bought a "Ballistic Nylon" backpack thing a few weeks ago! I don't really have a use for it, but it is Ballistic after all... Going to put it on my head and shoot myself in the face to test it out. I mean it's bound to stop a shotgun slug, yeah? guindilias said:

Its the best laptop/brief case I have ever bought.
Cant class as frivolous as I needed a new bag after handing the last one back to the client.

Prices dont seem to bad online for the X220s, let us know how it works when you have had a chance to use it some more.

I always thought Tumi bags were ridiculously expensive. However, I bought one years ago. Every other bag I'd ever owned fell apart after a few months of regular flying. The Tumi is indestructible. It just refuses to die.
I'm a big Tumi fan, as travel a lot. The wheeled roll on luggage is very tough, and the add-a-bag clips are indispensable when trying to get all of your own luggage through a airport, hotel etc..I'm disappointed with an Alpha laptop bag, where the shoulder strap fitting pulled out of the bag. It was held in by a single row of stitching. This was a £340 Alpha bag, well made and great shape/compartments, but this is surely not sturdy enough.
