The batteries have died in my doorbell & there's been a couple of burglaries locally recently so I've bought a ring doorbell.
With a battery that you need to charge every 5 days or so. I love mine but it's a pain in the arse.

Really? That is a shame as that was on my frivolous list, but that wouldn't work for me.

Mine is the older version to be fair, the newer ones might have a hardwire solution.

Thanks. Hardwire is no good for me. so if the battery wont last a couple of months then Ring won't be either!

I was hoping for at least a month or two, will keep an eye on the battery consumption

I've got the Ring 2, not bothered to hardwire it but the option is there.

My Battery's on 32% and hasn't been charged in 2 months. I think it depends on how often it's used and how often the motion sensor is activated. I've got mine turned down so it doesn't go off often.

Every 5 days? What are you doing with it.

I have to do that with my BMW but then I suppose it is my fault really as I put the 60mm lowered springs on it.

That's nice looking bit of kit that!! If you'd have said I have a spare handle you could have had, I've got a defunct trolley jack in the shed which needs dumping you're welcome to the handle!
I reckon postage would have made that too expensive, but thanks for the offer.
I did contact the manufacturer of my jack they would sell me a new handle for only about 80% of the cost of the jack.

Lol

I wish I had thought of that, I just didnt bother replying.

Its a pity really, it was a really well made jack.
The other annoying thing is I know exactly where my old jack handle is, it is at Sherburn Airfield after I accidentally left it behind after doing the Candlelighters charity day.

Does this qualify ? As I'm not a Lorenzo fan, but it's a really nice cap.

Just letting everyone know that I wouldn't wear that if someone gave me the cap free and paid me.

How are you getting on with this?

Would like to get a drone sometime but not sure which one I would go for. How much did you get this setup for if you dont mind me asking?

Really well actually. Using it more than I thought I would, so much so that I’ve bought some more batteries for it. (Each battery last 20-25minutes and takes an hour to charge).

£450 all in.

Camera is excellent. Follow me function is amazing. It’s by no means a ‘sports’ drone and airs on the camera side of things but it does have a sport feature and reacts really well - fairly quick also.

Also has some great features, albeit, not that useful.

Ceiling height of 300m is a little limiting but a 2km distance is great.
