I am in the opposite situation, moving to an apartment from a large house with loads of tools, some 70 years old, and no one to pass them down to.
Your talking to the right blokes!

Start grouping and listing them to us, we will surely snap them up and put them to good use...

When the time comes I will just say come and pick up the stuff, I would rather give my tools away and know that they will go to people who will use them.

More synthesiser idiocy from me. Just impulse bought this thing (a decision that averaged $100 per second) after a colleague showed me the website:

I don't actually know what it does, but it's very pretty.

As this thread is currently concerning nixie tubes and massive watches, let me bring some convergence...

Not a recent purchase (and not my photo) but I have one of these:

I don't think anything involving vacuum or nixie tubes could be considered frivolous. Possibly the only thing in existence that looks cooler is a mercury-arc rectifier, but god knows where you buy them from.

FAO the frivolous headphone folk. My Leophile Zeros are faulty, this is the second pair now and they only lasted for 8 months. Amazon are giving me a full refund so it’s time for replacement ones.

Any suggestions? Not a fan of over ear so they need to be in ear and have some form of anc for the few flights I take a year.

I have the TaoTronics TT-BH042 ones and so far have been really good, ANC was tested properly on the ferry last month and worked very well to drown out the engine noise etc (We had a dog room at the back of the boat...)

Would recommend them, think I paid somewhere around 35 euros so not expensive either.

I've got the Sony earbuds that come in a little recharging pill case.

Very impressive, but not cheap.

ETA - they're the Sony WF-1000X. Just checked the box in the office!

We have two pairs in the household, I had Bose Supersports until my wife decided they were really good so I never got a look in.

Then bought a cheap pair from Amazon on prime day, after looking them up: ENACFIRE E18s. They're actually pretty good. Sound quality isn't as good but they're smaller, lighter and I find them more comfortable.

They also have a charging case, but unlike the Bose set, they don't give you a battery indication on the case or when you first put them in. Not bad for £35 though.

I did something similar with bananas, thought I'd ordered 12. I ordered 12kg of them.

Just picked this up for £10 facebook. Given the price I think it was more nessecary than frivolous. Unsure why, but my wife seems pissed off that it's in the hallway! My 2 year old is going to be over the moon when he wakes up the morning though. I Just need to find a bigger motor!

This needs to go into the "pictures that make your teeth itch" thread - not because of some OCD - but because I have the 200 piece set too, and it's laid out quite differently.

So now I'm wracking my memory and reviewing the photo in close up to see if there are differences in the contents!

You are not alone. smile

I also momentarily considered buying a set despite having the set already, 5 years, still not lost/broke a single thing yet other than a few of the little ones in the red box of screwdrivery attachments.

Well thanks to this thread and after almost a year since ordering, the Aquaforno II turned up. Of course it was missing a part (heat shield for tap).

Anybody else had theirs yet?

Mine arrives today...

Pizza party in our new house on Saturday, so can live with a delayed tap heat shield (assuming it's consistent) - but hope nothing else is missing.

Whilst it's taken seemingly forever, I'm really looking forward to having a play.
