Well thanks to this thread and after almost a year since ordering, the Aquaforno II turned up. Of course it was missing a part (heat shield for tap).

Anybody else had theirs yet?

Mine arrives today...

Pizza party in our new house on Saturday, so can live with a delayed tap heat shield (assuming it's consistent) - but hope nothing else is missing.

Whilst it's taken seemingly forever, I'm really looking forward to having a play.
Got home, box just inside the door. Mildly pissed off better half - seems I forgot to tell her I'd ordered it...

Half hour of smoothing waters, she's given me a hand building it - really quite a nice bit of kit, although it won't replace either of my smokers which is a little disappointing (even though they explained it wasn't designed for hot or cold smoking I was hopeful).

However, I too am missing the heat shield (although have another odd bracket I can't identify, looks like it might be the rotisserie motor holder?). I'm also missing the additions I bought - I went for the full stainless kit, but only the basic has turned up.

So, missing parts list:

Heat shield
Gas burner (which I was aware had been further delayed)
Pizza peel
Mezzaluna
Rotisserie
Paella Pan

Email being sent...

Anyone got any ideas for a makeshift pizza peel? Got familial folks coming round Saturday for a housewarming pizza party...

Dunno if I'm a fan of this crowdfunding lark.

I brought this yesterday for three very good and very important reasons
1) I have a stupid fetish for snap on tools
2) because I wanted it
3) it was quite cheap

I have no need for it and no idea what I’m going to do with it once I have finished putting it up my nose( where else would you put a second hand borescope that will probably be coverd In old engine oil)
Brought where?

Yes I am itching to fire it up. There is going to be a lot of trial and error I feel.

I thought this as good a place to ask as any, seeing as it's an utterly pointless "need"

Does anyone have experience of buying a half decent monogrammed shirt?

I'd like the monogram on the lower front quarter of the shirt rather than the cuff or collar.

Ideally id like a reasonabily high quality material.

I'm not that good at ridicule; would some pity do?

Yeah, crack on, it'd better be good though now you've built it up...

I've a pretty good amount of experience with a hot smoker - looking over it my plan is to close off the side vents as much as possible (I'll likely end up trying to improve the seal against the body) and use the bottom vent to control temp. Wide open, it should get the right sort of stupidly hot temps necessary for pizza on it's own.

Digging through their youtube channel they used some rope to help seal the the gaps for when using it as a smoker. Not sure what the technical name is for said rope biggrin

I sometimes think this thread should be renamed to the "Frivolous headphones purchases" thread. biggrin
I’ve also recently purchased the Snap-on borescope too. Figured that was more useful as a 911 owner rather than frivolous!

Just picked this up for £10 facebook. Given the price I think it was more nessecary than frivolous. Unsure why, but my wife seems pissed off that it's in the hallway! My 2 year old is going to be over the moon when he wakes up the morning though. I Just need to find a bigger motor!

I want one for myself, I'm sure a 6ft man can fit?
It managed a 5ft 9 13 year old earlier with no difficulties. Its a cheap way into f1!

He's going to love that!

I bought my son a Jaguar XKR pedal car when I also owned an XKR - he was welded to that car for a long while.

There were many dents at the bottom of dishwashers, fridges and tumble driers. Be warned! smile
Isadly it won't fit though a door frame. It's nearly 6 ft long and 3ft wide... The tires are wider than the ones on my wife's car! It's now in the garage, 2 new batteries and a fuse and it got a run in the garden, it has the turning circle of a super tanker.

Surely a super tanker can turn within its own length.

Though on this occasion it pales into insignificance when compared to the photographic tech spackery of the OP.

Good opportunity to teach the little fella, how to drift.
