May have gone too far this time. She hasn’t seen it.

It is a hand painted picture of my dog in a uniform. The look on the faces of the women framing it does not leave me with confidence of the reception it will receive.

More info (who, cost, why?) required.

I could see a matching pair of our cats being a big hit (probably upside my head).
That looks like the work of Crown and Paw, who have been heavily advertising on Facebook recently (if its targeted, it isn't working because I don't have any pets! hehe)
https://crownandpaw.com/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIstKHq_6...

They will paint your beloved animal in the style of an olde timey lord/military figure/royalty and it looks hilariously brilliant!
Damn. No it wasn’t shame, look at those prices.

This was hand painted in oils and was erm very expensive. The frame cos three of those

Oh well at least I can get jean done as a princess.

Got from here.

https://www.dogartists.co.uk/?gclid=Cj0KCQjw2v7mBR...

So it went better than expected.

She said “ you’re not serious” then went quiet.

I’ll take that as a good sign.

The uniform page

https://www.dogartists.co.uk/dogs-in-uniform-paint...

It was £524 + £120 for framing they saw me coming. Dare nit order one of those linked from above in case it’s the same for a fraction.

Don’t care I like it smile

Not sure if a car purchase ever counts as frivolous on ph but we recently won a contract that requires me driving to London weekly, a 40 mile round trip. I can reclaim mileage at 45p and customer has unreliable parking resulting in having to often use an industrial estate with v limited space so bought this to cover it

It is a convertible with heated leather seats and I’ve spent £1k on bits to upgrade the stereo. Zero road tax and 60mpg

It’s essentially a free car and I now have a convertible on the drive

^^^ nice little car, but I don't understand the maths. 40 miles at 45p isn't free?
That aside, I think it's frivolous.

160 miles a month at 45p is £72 a month in expenses. Assume his lease is less than that?

ETA - if so, then I'm bloody tempted to do the same! Don't get mileage - but do drive 1.8k a month, in a 98 MX5 getting mid 20s mpg...

Excuse my ignorance... but what is it? Looks like a pimped smart - I love it.

Btw the £1k spent on audio definitely counts for this thread!

Unfortunately the car is epically sensible for the job - car disqualified.
biggrin

I’m going to do all my business mileage in it, the sum of what I claim for the fuel is roughly equal to the total cost of buying and running and fueling it, as it’s so efficient, zero tax and cheap to run. so it’s effectively free in a way. Got an interest free loan to buy it so no interest charges

It’s a Smart ForTwo cabrio

Bought some 6.5” Hertz components for door and dash, going to make up a rear box for more 6.5” hertz coaxizls and a 8” sub, got an Alpine 900w 5 channel amp for under the seat, and a Pioneer head unit to run it all! Gonna be pimp!

It can also be remapped from 90 to 125bhp and it wasn’t exactly lacking performance on the test drive- 3 cyl 0.9 turbo engine. I mean it’s no RS6 but plenty fast enough for whizzing round London in

I had a lease one a couple of years ago although it was was the 1.0 hard top version. Even that was quite nippy and the standard stereo system was pretty decent too. Was my third smart car ! Great little cars for what they are.

Cool! I had a Brabus Roadster before. Didn’t last as I fancied a Boxster S. great fun though and my new one (picking up at 3pm) should be even more of a laugh and hopefully better built too!

It’s the new(ish) Smart Fortwo convertible! Genuinely excited to pick it up in a couple of hours. Shortest wheelbase of any car for sale currently! Pretty unnecessary really tbh

I really don't think that people who enjoy a gun culture know how disturbing that enjoying that culture is to people who live outside of that culture.
